I have been a dog groomer for 7 years now, and was a dog bather / grooming apprentice for 4 years prior to that. I’ve been on Rover since April of 2023 providing exceptional care to all different ages, breeds and temperaments. In total I have over a decade of experience with puppies, senior dogs and cats. I am Pet First Aid / Emergency CPR certified and have experience with oral and injection medication. But most importantly, I take pride in my work and have always had a passion for working with animals, so rest assured your pets are always treated like family when in my care! More animal-related experience: -I spent the summer of 2015 in Chiang Mai, Thailand in a Pre-Veterinary Medicine program, where I also had the pleasure of volunteering with stray dogs / cats. As well as volunteer and pre-vet med work at the Elephant Nature Park. -I initially wanted to become a veterinary technician, as I have a special interest in health and sciences, but decided grooming was a better fit for me. -I plan to become a certified dog trainer in the future, as I enjoy working with owners to help correct unwanted behaviours. Genuinely one of my favourite parts about working with animals is learning about their behaviours, and adjusting mine accordingly so that I can gain their trust. -I have a senior dog and a mid-aged toothless cat of my own that I’ve raised since puppy / kitten-hood, so I have plenty of experience with the “every-day” of pet sitting. -My ultimate goal for the future is to own farmland with my partner so that we can open our own senior-pet rescue. I have always wanted to devote my time to caring for animals in need. All-in-all I just love animals and will continue to dedicate my life to caring for them ❤️

Safety, trust & environment
Your pets safety is without a doubt the most important part of our visit together. I am Pet First Aid / Emergency CPR certified and am confident in my ability to keep them safe. I have a vehicle, so in the event of a veterinary trip you can be rest assured that they will be attended to promptly. I have stayed in many clients home and have nothing but positive reviews. I would never do anything to break your trust in me. Some clients even have pet-cameras, which is completely fine with me.

Shacelle was excellent with our cats! One of our cats is usually skittish, but she really enjoyed her time with Shacelle. She kept us updated through the week, left the house spotless, and took great care of our cats. We will definitely contact her again next time we go on vacation.
Shacelle was fantastic! She did an incredible job visiting and grooming our dog. She is professional, friendly, prepared, efficient, and communicated so well throughout the booking. She clearly has a magic touch with dogs - our pup loved her from start to finish! Highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!

Schedule
I am NOT available for services during the following times: *Tuesday 2pm-6pm, *Wed-Fri 9am-6pm, *Sat 10am-6pm *Please note: I do offer house sitting all 7 days/week, but will not be able to stay full time in-home during the above hours, as I am at my grooming job. However; If the stay is requested within a considerable amount of time (ie. 3 weeks or more in advance) I can generally work half days at the salon, so that I can be in-home with your pet. But please note that there will be an extra $20-$50/day charge for the days that you need me in-home during the hours previously mentioned.
