Information Shabnam M. would like to know about your pet

• Age – Puppy, adult, or senior? Puppies need training and supervision. Seniors may need medication or gentle care. • Breed (or mix) Helps you anticipate energy level and temperament. For example, a Border Collie mix needs more stimulation than a laid-back bulldog. • Weight & Size Important in case of emergencies or leash control. ⸻ 🧠 2. Personality & Temperament Ask: • Is the dog friendly with strangers? • Do they have separation anxiety? • Are they fearful of loud noises? • Any aggression history (dogs, cats, kids, food)? You want to know: • How they react to doorbells • If they guard toys or food • If they are escape artists This protects you and the dog. 🏡 3. Daily Routine Dogs thrive on consistency. Ask: • Feeding schedule & portion sizes • Walk times and duration • Potty schedule • Bedtime routine • Crate use (if any) Following their normal routine reduces stress while owners are away. ⸻ 💊 4. Medical & Health Information Very important. • Any medications? (dosage + timing) • Allergies? • Special diet? • Recent injuries? • Vet contact info • Emergency contact person Also ask: • Are vaccines up to date? • Are they spayed/neutered? ⸻ 🦴 5. Training & Commands • What commands do they know? • Leash behavior? • House trained? • Any problem behaviors? Example: Do they jump on guests? Do they pull hard on leash? Do they counter surf? Knowing this prevents surprises. ⸻ 🚪 6. Safety & House Rules • Are they allowed on furniture? • Can they be left alone? For how long? • Any rooms off limits? • How do they behave when someone knocks?

A typical day

Instead of a quick potty break, turn walks into mini-adventures: Sniffari Walks • Let the dog lead (safely). • Allow plenty of sniffing time — sniffing is mental exercise. • Explore new routes or parks. Training Walks • Practice “sit” at corners. • Work on leash manners. • Reward calm behavior around distractions. Scavenger Walk • Hide a few treats along a quiet path. • Encourage them to “find it.” Why it’s great: Mental stimulation tires dogs out more than just physical activity. ⸻ 🧠 2. Puzzle & Brain Games Dogs love problem-solving. Treat Puzzles • Use puzzle toys or make your own with: • Muffin tins + tennis balls • Towel rolled with hidden treats • Cardboard boxes Find the Treat • Hide treats around the house. • Say “go find it!” • Increase difficulty over time. Name the Toy Game • Teach them to identify toys by name. • Ask for specific ones. Great for rainy days or high-energy breeds.

Pet care experience

What sets me apart is my love for the animals. This is my first time working in this field but I have had some fur babies in the past so I thoroughly know how to love and take care of them.

Shabnam was an excellent sitter for our two doggos! You can tell she genuinely enjoys your pets' company, takes them on walks, and has a wonderful home for them to romp around in. Our new go-to pet sitter!

Shabnam was an amazing dog sitter. She was very kind, flexible, and instantly friendly with my dogs. She kept me updated with their activities and even took them out for a walk, which I really appreciated. My dogs looked so happy and relaxed when I got them back. I felt completely at ease leaving them with her. I will definitely be coming back to her in the future.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Shabnam as a pet sitter. She cares for animals like they’re their own, and it truly shows. Every time I’ve left my dog in her hands, I’ve had complete peace of mind. Shabnam is attentive, responsible, and so loving! My dog is always happy, relaxed, and well cared for when I get back — which says everything. If you’re looking for someone you can trust 100%, Shabnam is your person.
