I’ve had animals all my life, small dogs, large dogs,cats, bunnies you name it! I’ve worked for a pet store for 4 years and then fostered dogs/puppies for 3 years so I have experience in training. I have taken care of friends and family’s animals whenever they needed and before starting with rover I privately took dogs on walks and doggy day care.Animals have always been my passion, hence why I went to university and got my certification as a RVT but because of 8 back surgeries cannot work right now, I also have a friend that can come by he is a dog trainer and is great with reactive dogs

This was our first time using Rover services. Our Bichon/shihtzu cross Rosie fell in love with Serrina from the first moment. Normally anxious she started walking away to Serrina’s home looked back at us, as if to say okay you can go now, I’m off to my doggy spa weekend lol. Dogs know who they like and she LOVED Serrina. No anxiety. We had a family event for four days and Serrina made us feel comfortable from beginning to end with photos and videos daily of our Rosie. Rosie was especially lucky because Serrina was okay with her to sleep on the bed, Rosie’s fave - she loves to be with people. We are from BC, so when we are back in Calgary and need a sitter again, we will absolutely be calling Serrina. Beautiful person and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you again Serrina!!

Everything seemed to be going well until we realized that there was tape placed over our doorbell camera. Fortunately she can't put tape over my neighbour's eyes. What could she be hiding? 1. An extra person (boyfriend or partner) that stayed with her in my house without my permission. If she would have been up front, we would probably have agreed to having him stay. 2. Although she claimed that she took Devo to the park, what he needed was regular walks. None of my neighbours ever saw her walk him in my neighbourhood. 3. The worst of all: She was dogsitting at least one other dog (a terrier) in my house. Possibly two dogs. Without my permission. Probably causing my dog a great deal of anxiety. He has never had a strange dog in his space. This was for a period of at least 5 days. I have pictures to prove. This last issue caused me to be so unwell I had to try to get home ASAP. Secondly, there were dog accidents all over my carpets upstairs. Devo will only do this if he is being ignored as he indicates very clearly that he needs to go out for a potty break and has done so since he was a puppy. When I finally returned I came back to a dog that was quiet, had lost weight, and overall listless. This was further stress on me. I am having to get my dog's trust back to normal levels.
Previously, Serrina came to our home and took Sasha for a walk. Even with the short interaction a bond was made. Serrina took great care of Sasha and our home while we were away. She sent us a few pictures everyday to let us see how Sasha was doing. We have booked Serrina for our next vacation, knowing that Sasha will be well taken care of. Thank you again.
Serrina was great with Pierre and Sophie. I Was nervous at first because this was Sophie's first time with a sitter. Serrina was very caring with both dogs, and sent a lot of photos and updates, which I really appreciated. She asked lots of questions to make sure she was consistent with schedules and training we already had in place. When I picked them up they were both looking happy and well cared for. We will definitely be using Serrina to watch Pierre & Sophie again!
Serrina was really good with Milo!It was our first time leaving Milo so we were a little anxious, the daily updates she would provide along with photos surely helped!

Schedule
I am currently available anytime for walks, pet sitting/house sitting any day is good except for some days(which will be on my calendar) when I have personal appointments.I can be available asap as I am home 90% of the time:) This is my only job and I love taking care of and have experience with animals who have health issues as well.

I would help with any training or things you would like to work on with your pet. Any schedule you have I will stick to, including how long they like to walk for etc. I will respect and listen to any and all rules when watching your animal In my home or in yours:) please don’t be shy to ask for as many photos and updates as you want, I want any pet parent to be totally comfortable and have no worries while their family member is in my care.
A typical day
I love to go on walks and go to private or public dog parks, and if the dogs like car rides that’s a bonus because I would take them everywhere with me(example:getting a coffee) and we could go to new areas to walk and play. But on the worse weather days when that’s not possible because it may be too cold for the dog, we would play and cuddle! And with some dogs I love to try to teach them a new trick( high five, sit pretty,wait etc). I try to be as active as possible, especially because it’s great for my back to be moving lots, but Also know when the dogs need to rest and have down time:)
