I always put pets first. They run my show, I follow their normal routine and try my best to mimic what they are used to on a day to day basis with their parents. I find that doing this helps pets adjust to having someone new take care of them temporarily. I want pets to have a happy, fun time with me and I want them to be themselves and to be comfortable. If they were to come to my home, I would request a blanket from the owner so the pet can sleep with it and have in my home so they know they are safe and home is near.
