Hi! My name is Serena and I had a golden retriever/Norwegian elkhound cross named Sam from age 5 to 20 who I loved very much. Ever since I can remember, I have loved and respected animals very much and their well-being is of the utmost importance to me. As well as having a dog of my own, I was also a dog walker at the SPCA. As an SPCA dog walker, we were trained to provide dogs with positive reinforcement. I will not pull on your dog's leash, and I will make sure that he or she is always safe and well fed (if boarding or sitting). My house has a big yard and is located in a fairly safe area in Surrey. We don't see many cars here and my Sam loved roaming around our neighbourhood when he was alive, so I'm sure your dog will love it here too!

We had never boarded our dog before but as he’s getting older, he doesn’t enjoy trips as much. He had a wonderful time with Serena and she took amazing care of him. We also appreciated the photos of him while we were away. I know he cannot wait to come back!

Schedule
I am currently unemployed (but doing online courses and volunteer work) so I am home most days. If you leave your dog in my care, I will be sure to spend my time with him or her and make sure they are taken on regular walks and are able to go outside for toilet breaks whenever they need. I do go out occasionally for outings but would only be out for 2-3 hours at a time, and even then, your dog will never be left alone as my parents are always home.

Safety, trust & environment
I allow dogs to simply "be" in my space. I like to give them the space to roam around and make themselves comfortable. I also think letting them roam around outside is good which they will definitely be allowed to do at our house if that is something you're comfortable with.
A typical day
We have a park close by with trails that we can go to and I will definitely play with them in the house as much as they want!
