Howdy I’m Serena! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. Growing up, I raised and looked after a variety of animals—including turtles, bunnies, and kittens—which taught me early on that every pet has their own personality, needs, and boundaries. As I got older, I became the go-to person for walking dogs and helping friends and neighbors care for their pets, gaining experience with everything from large, high-energy dogs to shy small pets and senior cats. Core Skills & Experience: -Comfortable with all sizes and temperaments (large dogs, small dogs, cats, kittens, seniors) -Kitten & puppy care, including play, supervision, and positive engagement -Senior pet care with patience, gentle handling, and routine consistency -Skilled with high-energy pets and structured walks/playtime -Strong at building trust with shy or anxious animals -Cat-focused care: playful engagement + respecting boundaries and cues -Detail-oriented with feeding schedules, routines, and updates -Experience managing multiple pets at once -Basic pet CPR knowledge (not certified, but familiar with emergency response) What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to each animal. Whether that means keeping up with an energetic dog who needs structure and exercise, or taking a slower, more gentle approach with older pets who need extra care and consistency, I focus on meeting them where they are. I especially love caring for cats. I enjoy playing with them, keeping them mentally engaged, and just as importantly, respecting their boundaries. I pay close attention to their behavior and take the time to build trust at their pace—something that’s especially important for shy or more independent cats. Above all, my goal is simple: to make your pet feel happy, secure, and cared for—like you never left. For safety and peace of mind, I also make it a strict rule to never board dogs and cats together, ensuring a calm and secure environment for every pet in my care.
