I've been volunteering at the senior dog shelter, Muttville, for almost two years now, taking care of dogs of all sizes (from tiny chihuahuas under 5lbs to larger bully breeds!). Every week, I help out in feeding often 30-40 dogs dinner, taking them out on walks, and cleaning up after them as needed. Aside from dogs, I'm also a huge fan of cats and have pet sit a handful of times for friends and coworkers, which has given me experience in caring for both outgoing, cuddly cats and more reserved, independent ones.

From working at Muttville, I have plenty of experience getting in and out of rooms while ensuring the dogs stay only in the spaces they are allowed for their safety. I will do the same during drop-in visits and adhere to any similar rules in the house that are provided

Serena is such a dependable and caring sitter! It's impressive to me that Josie (who gets pretty jumpy around unfamiliar faces) always feels comfortable enough around her to sit on her lap :) Serena always makes sure to take lots of pictures and keep us updated on how Josie is doing which is super important for me!!
Serena has cat-sit for my cat Uno several times and always done a great job. I’ve never had any issues with her missing a day, and the litter boxes are always kept clean. She also sends me photos of my cat while she’s sitting for me, which are always appreciated while I’m away from him.
Serena was a caring and attentive pet caregiver to the chihuahua she fostered. She always made sure to take him out on regular walks, maintained a strict feeding schedule, and kept up with any necessary grooming. Serena is a responsible and loving pet caregiver!

Schedule
I'm currently happily unemployed while waiting for my PhD program to begin in the Fall! Looking for a furry friend to spend all this free time with, whether it means joining me on my long walks and occasional runs or just lounging around with a dangling cat toy.
