Sono una psicologa (lavoro online da casa) e una musicista, e ho completato il mio master presso l'Università di Bergamo. Sono nata e cresciuta a Istanbul, una città famosa per la sua cultura di convivenza e rispetto per gli animali di strada. Per noi in Turchia, prenderci cura degli animali e condividere i nostri spazi con loro è una vera e propria tradizione. Essere lontana dai cani e dai gatti è stata la parte più difficile del mio trasferimento in Europa! A Istanbul mi prendevo cura quotidianamente degli animali del quartiere, compresi quelli malati o feriti. Ho una vasta esperienza nel gestire i cani dei miei amici durante i loro viaggi e sono cresciuta con una gatta speciale vissuta con me per 14 anni. Perché scegliere me? Having lived in Istanbul most of my life—where stray animals are a cherished part of the city's culture—caring for cats and dogs has always been a natural part of my daily life. In Turkey, protecting and sharing our spaces with animals is a deeply rooted tradition. The hardest part of moving to Europe for me was being away from animals every day. In Istanbul, I regularly cared for neighborhood animals, took in sick or injured cats, and pet-sat for my friends' dogs when they traveled. I also had a beloved cat who shared her life with me for 14 years. Why trust me with your pet? Always at Home (Home Office): Since I work online from home, your pet will never be left alone for long periods. They will have constant companionship, supervision, and affection throughout the day. Psychological Insight: My background in psychology helps me read animal body language, manage anxiety/stress, and build a calm, trusting relationship with them. More Than Just a Job: For me, pet-sitting is a genuine joy and a way to reintroduce animal companionship into my daily routine here in Bergamo. Selmin cared for our dog like he was her own, staying calm when meeting him and making sure he felt at home in a new environment. Our dog needs special care for some health issues and she had no problem accommodating them. She gave regular updates and photos so we never felt too far away. She made sure our dog went in lots of walks and played at parks since our dog is hyper active Aussie. Would 100% rebook and so happy we have found a reliable trustworthy person and friend to care for our dog.
It was our first time away from our beloved Pippa and Selmin did an amazing sitting with her, leaving us completely comfortable and thankful for the caring, love and kindness she provided Pippa during these days. We will for sure look for Selmin next time and would also give her a ten star rating!
I am Selmin’s father and I am also an animal-lover. Every year we go to camping together and we always take care of the animals in the camping areas. One time I remember there was a dog which was really sick, hungry and excluded by others and everyone was avoiding him. Selmin and I gave him some food and pet him. He was so happy and didn’t hurt us unlike other people believed so. Selmin protected him from other dogs’ attacks and at least during our stay, the poor dog found some peace. This is only a small example but I can assure you that you can trust my daughter because she is really a compassionate person. She also had a cat named Salsa and she took a great care of her until Salsa passed away.
I don’t think anyone can love animals more than Selmin. I know she loves street animals and always pet them. I have two cats (Van kedisi) and she would take care of them often when I am out of town. I fully trust her with my pets and every animal in the streets. She is so loving and really careful with the animals. Sometimes she gets angry when some other people pet the street animals by force and tell them let the animal alone – she only pets them or touches them when she is sure they are approaching her and they want to be loved.

Schedule
I can arrange my schedule most of the time as I work online and flexible hours. So I usually keep company to the pets at home and walk them any time easily.

I make a daily plan for our day. I usually plan the physical activities and our daily routine beforehand. If there is any medical care needed, I make sure that I apply it on time.
A typical day
I have a huge park right next to my house, I usually prefer that one to walk the dogs and also play with them. I make sure that the exercises we make can match the energy level of the pet. I make sure that they can enjoy their day; feel happy and safe with me.
