I’ve been a dog owner for over 20 years, and animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child , our house was filled with dogs (Jack Russells, Border Collie and Labradors, not all at the same time), horses, budgies, tortoises and even goldfish, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. I’m calm, patient and confident with all kinds of pets, and I understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, loved and relaxed when they’re away from their owners. Whether your doggie requires companionship, regular walks or simply keeping to their routine, I will give every dog the same care and attention that I’d want for my own.

Selma looked after our 1-year-old Blue Staff, Ned, while we were away, and we couldn't have been happier with the care she gave him. We were naturally quite nervous about leaving him as he's still so young, but Selma put us completely at ease. She kept us updated throughout our trip with messages and photos, which was so reassuring. It was clear that Ned was happy, well looked after, and getting lots of attention. We wouldn't hesitate to book with Selma again and would highly recommend :)
Selma was great with Bertie for his trial now we know he will be safe and happy there for future stays
My dogs have been very well looked after today with Selma while my family and I were at my mother's funeral. Very difficult day but nice to know that the dogs were settled.
Selma took time to get our rescued young GSD used to her by arranging two meet and greets. He was immediately relaxed in her home environment and with the calm energy Selma projects. Such a relief to find such a lovely lady to trust with our dog. Thank you!
Selma has a lifetimes experience of providing first class customer care. At the same time she is hugely empathetic, caring and gentle. She has had many dogs of her own, large and small, and is very well able to manage any dog. She also has a home that is well suited to managing dogs, with a very secure back garden. She has looked after my Griffon Hounds on numerous occasions and they love her to bits. I can thoroughly recommend Selma for any type of dog care and management.

I’m retired and at home all day, so your dog will have company, attention and a calm, settled environment. My home is quiet and relaxed, which makes it especially suitable for nervous dogs, older dogs or those who simply enjoy a slower pace. There are countryside walks on my doorstep and the beach isn't too far away if you don't mind me taking your dog there.

I live on a quiet road with a small, secure fenced garden where dogs can relax safely. Countryside walks are right on my doorstep, giving every dog plenty of fresh air, gentle adventure and a peaceful change of scenery. 🐾 My Experience Animals have been part of my life from the very beginning. I grew up in a home full of pets — dogs, budgies, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, you name it, we had it. Later, when I married, we had a succession of Dobermans who were very much part of the family. Our last one sadly passed away two years ago, and caring for other people’s dogs now brings me a lot of joy and purpose. Your dog will be treated with the same love, patience and respect I’ve always given my own.

I have a couple of countryside walks on my doorstep for us to enjoy. I also understand that playtime is very important and I know a number of scent games to entertain your dog as well. Plus I have a small secure dog friendly garden for your dog to explore or relax in.

- Let me know in advance if your dog has any special needs so that I can accommodate them. I can give oral medication, but have never used a syringes and wouldn't feel comfortable injecting medication unless you could show me how to do it.
