Taking care of pets fits in just perfectly. I currently have a part time job, but doing pet care on the side definitely helps balance my routine out and get some fresh air from working.

In both client/my home, since I’m an early bird, I take them on walks to get them moving and give them time to potty, as I do with my dogs as well. I give them water and food, of course this varies on any directions given by the owner. They do get a lot of playtime and treats for good behavior. I make sure to let them potty at least every 2-3 hours out of habit from my pets.

A typical day
I love taking them on walks throughout the and letting them venture out and it also gives me time to destress of anything. Of course in a new place it can be exciting for these babies. I love teaching them little tricks for treats and zoomies are probably the best too. Anytime they’re calm I love giving them cuddles if they want some!

Pet care experience
I spent a lot of time with pets( mostly dogs) from taking care of close friends pets. With dogs I found better ways to behave them when they were with me, and considering I would take care of them a lot I managed to teach them tricks. I love spending time with animals of any kind. I had a cat when I was 13 and it was tricky because I got Lenny as an adult I would say. I learned how to manage litter boxes and the right food for both cat and dog. I do a lot of research when it comes to food so I know they have the right nutritions and I’m also skeptical when if comes or bagged food, so I do make my Own at times. I own 2 dogs now, one is a puppy and the other about a year and a half old. I’m also trying to save to go into MTC to study as a veterinarian to spend more time with animals.

Selina was excellent with the girls! She sent a lot of fun updates and pictures and was super sweet with our dogs! It was clear they had a great time with her. The house was left in excellent condition as well!

Selina was wonderful! She was available and kept us updated on our dogs while we traveled. She took great care of the house and we felt very reassured. She loved our dogs and even worked with our puppy on some tricks and commands. We definitely will use her again.
