I have been rescuing senior and special needs dogs since I was 20 years old. I have experience giving insulin and subcutaneous fluids, administering allergy injections, changing diapers, and administering medication including pills, ear drops, eye drops, and medicated baths. I currently foster for a local rescue called 4 the love of K9s. I'm very particular when it comes to people caring for my dogs, so I am willing to follow any special instructions to a tee. My 8 year old daughter has been around dogs since she was born, but will be instructed not to interact with your dog if that is what you prefer. I homeschool my daughter, so we are home during the day. I don't leave for my part time job until after my husband comes home, as he is also an experienced dog rescuer. All doggie guests are invited to sleep in the big bed, but are also offered dog beds in the floor, or crates is that is what is preferred. Our drop off and pick up times are 9am through 5pm, but sometimes other arrangements can be accommodated. Although I do have a securely fenced yard, I do not allow dogs outside unsupervised. I am also willing to dremel your dog's nails for an additional fee. I do require a meet and greet at a public location before a first time booking. I usually choose Chesterfield Park, but am open to other locations!
