Pet care experience

Realtor W/❤️: Ur 🏠& Pet’s Guardian

With a deep passion for pet care, my experience extends from raising and training lively puppies to providing tender, specialized care for elderly pets with health concerns and unique routines. I also have experience living on a farm and can care for small to medium farm animals and other unusual pets such as chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, bunnies, ponies, etc. Growing up surrounded by canine companions, I've developed an innate understanding of animal body language and psychology. These skills I've acquired has allowed for me to successfully care for 5 dogs at once for an extended period of time. My pet care expertise is backed by a strong connection to the veterinary world, as my best friend is a Veterinarian. This means I have a direct line for any special questions, day or night to get expert advice on your special fur baby as needed. What sets me apart is my commitment to maintaining pets' well-being in their familiar home environment for extended periods. I find joy in offering care, comfort, and stability to furry friends while their owners are away. Whether your pet is high-energy, requiring extra activities, or prefers a calm and quiet atmosphere, I adapt to their accustomed routine, ensuring a tailored and seamless experience. Trust me to create a haven for your pets, adapting to their unique needs and providing a loving touch during your absence. Please feel free to contact me for credible references from previous clients.

Selah and Marcus did a fantastic job watching my Girl Tinker. I've used them before and have absolutely no complaints and definitely will use them again.

They did a great job taking care of eggroll! Provided daily updates and pictures, left my place very clean, smelling great, and did not take or move anything. I will definitely be hopeful they are free anytime I have to leave eggroll alone.

I wasn’t sure about hiring someone to watch my pet and home while on a trip, but after hiring Selah and Marcus, I’m so glad I did. They took as much care for my pet and home as I do. They kept up with my pet’s meds and walks and they even made sure to water my plants. I will definitely be hiring them again for my next trip and recommending them to friends and colleagues.

Selah and Marcus were flexible and worked with me when my travel plans got changed due to events beyond my control. Their start date got pushed around, and their end date got pushed around as things on my end changed and they were able to work with me. I have two German Shorthair Pointers and if you know the breed, you know they can be a bit extra. Selah and Marcus kept them well exercised, well fed, and happy. I know this to be the case because when I got home, instead of a crazed frantic greeting, I got an "Oh, it's you" from my pups. They were that tired and content. I live in an ADU, and my landlady contacted me periodically to tell me what a good job they were doing taking care of my pups. Also, they went above and beyond when a TSUNAMI WARNING hit. I was a several hours away without transportation. They kept in contact with me and my landlady and came up with an evac plan to keep my pups safe. They treated my space respectfully and specifically asked permission if they need to move anything or change anything. I forgot to lock up my medications and they were untouched when I returned. I was super stressed about leaving my pups for two weeks, but they contacted me at the frequency I requested to let me know everything was fine and included pictures of my pups doing happy dog things. I have only good things to say about them and am super grateful to them for taking such good care of my precious (and kinda spoiled) fur babies.

To be clear: I’m extremely disappointed and disturbed by what I walked into when returning home. First, let’s begin with the most important part—our pets. When we left, our cat was at a healthy weight, and his feeding routine was clearly outlined—in the printed manual, on the containers, and verbally. Upon returning, it was obvious he had lost weight, which isn’t something that happens overnight. That alone would have been enough to cause concern. But then I noticed the house. Nearly every object in our home had been moved. Items were shoved into random places with no logic or care. I've been picking up glass in corners because they randomly shoved things with no care. My personal closet had been gone through, which they had no reason or permission to access. My partner’s work desk—clearly marked off-limits—looked like a forearm just shoved important work documents aside. Workout equipment moved to the computer room, my coffee maker where the plates go, the plates where utensils go, things from our bedroom stacked in the living room, a shelf left in the hallway walkway, etc. If they were going to move things, they could've at least put it back where they found them, or broken things in the process. And then I opened the freezers. The meat freezer, which we did say they could use to eat from, was completely empty. They took 20lbs of ground beef, 1 brisket, 3 carne asada packs, 3 packs of ribs, and 5 packs of stew meat from that freezer. They also helped themselves to food from the kitchen freezer, which was never offered—1 sushi-grade tuna fillet, 60oz shrimp and a package of sausages Took pantry items never offered including: 10 cans of tuna, 6 cans of beans, 2 cans of diced tomatoes, 1 package of flour, a 4 pack of butter, 1 better than bouillon container, and an entire seasoning bottle of chili for all that ground beef. Easily over $300 in groceries and I know they loaded their car up with our food because while I found the empty bean and tomato cans in the garbage pile they me, there were no tuna empty cans. The better than bouillon they used to permanently stain my kitchen counters for an extra touch of discourtesy. There’s no reasonable way two people consumed that amount of food in 12 days. It’s clear they took from our home to fill theirs. Even then, I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Until I saw the compost gate. The one I emphasized multiple times, in writing and in person, must remain closed—for Duke’s safety. It wasn’t accidentally left ajar. It was propped open. They put our dog in danger—and after we just lost our other dog to cancer, no less. I also have serious doubts they ever walked my dog. No pictures except of one of him sleeping in a two week span and all of the dog bags in the house still had their steal unopened. I know my dog's bathroom habits, they should've at least used one bag in 2 weeks. I want to be crystal clear about this: This goes far beyond a misunderstanding. This was neglect, theft, and a violation of our personal space and trust. Caused us stress, cost us hundreds, and left our home in a state of disarray.
