Your dog’s retreat
I have lived with dogs all of my life. I used to do dog and house sitting for a small group of clients in upstate NY when I was in my early twenties. Now years later I work from home with my dog and we open our home to yours. I am very good with dogs and have a good grasp on their body language, not to mention I absolutely love them. I am fortunate to live on a property that has many open fields and lots of woods, all private, for the dogs to enjoy. There is lots of wildlife and a couple ponds for the swimmers, too! We do not have a fenced in yard, but fortunately we are a good distance from any active roads. My dog Elora loves to play and run around and will be sure to tire your dog out while they are here. We try and do enrichment activities as well, like scavenger hunts. I ask that you let me know every detail about your dog’s personality, habits, and expectations when I watch them, as well as any remote/gps collars, devices, etc..

Schedule
I work from home, and walk my own dog several times a day. We play inside and outside. We do obedience exercises and enrichment activities as well.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a small house, and am always aware of where the dogs are and what they are doing. Outside my dog is off leash, and usually dogs stay together while out. We live at a dead end of a very quiet road, and most of our walks are well away from it.

A typical day
A morning walk around the fields and a quick fetch is a good start to our day. Throughout the day play sessions and more walks.
