HOLIDAY PRICING: Rover’s pricing structure has limited options for holiday pricing and if you have multiply dogs or a puppy, the price it's showing you is incorrect. ---To clarify I don’t have a discount for additional dogs, I have limited space so the second dog is the same price as the first dog. ---For puppies it's the Holiday price plus the puppy charge of $11/ day. I’ve definitely learned a lot over the last two years and I’m a better sitter than ever. The one single thing that helps the most is that I do meet and greets with every dog. The dogs that aren’t a great fit usually have territorial or aggressive tendencies. Also, heavy barkers don’t do well. If I do have to correct a dog I use a spray bottle with water. About me: Growing up in the Boston area, we had four Shih Tzu‘s at a time and my uncle had a few wolf dogs, a Rottweiler and German shepherds that I used to play with. I've been taking care of dogs my whole life. I joined the Air Force out of high school where I was a first responder and I even used to work with the K9 department. After that I made my way out west and after getting accredited I opened my first business as a massage therapist in So. Cal which is why I think I give the dogs extra good scratches. I then moved to Vegas and after going to school became a casino dealer and specialized in Craps until 08. Next, I went back to Mass and got my bachelor’s degree in business and graduated with honors while working full time as a dining room manager at the university. After that I worked around New England for a while and was a chef manager in Maine and catering director in Massachusetts I moved to Colorado in 2015 and got my doggies shortly thereafter and they actually were the main motivation to get the house with the giant backyard. Next thing you know, I had a family and was working in software sales. About three years ago, we started fostering puppies regularly. We usually had two in the house at a time. Then during Covid I got laid off a couple times, one thing led to another, and the fostering hobby turned into a dog care business that I could not be happier to have.
