We love all types of dogs and want to create a home from home environment for them where they will also have the opportunity to socialise with our 6 year old Labrador, Darcy. He is very much the heart of our home! We firmly believe every dog should be treated like a member of the family! 🥰

One of us will be at home with your dog, they will never be left alone or unattended for a substantial length of time (I may have to pop out to the shop). I know this is important to you when your choosing a sitter, especially for those mischievous puppies who like to get into everything at the blink of a eye! We are lucky to have a large fenced garden, plenty of natural grass and shaded spaces with lots of safe toys for play time! There is plenty of space to roam around the ground floor of our home. During the visit we supply all dogs with an Apple Air tag, although we hope to never have to use them, your pets safety is our number one concern, and this enables us to track the location should the worse ever happen, our home is also covered with CCTV cameras. We are able to provide luxury dog beds, food bowls and julius K9 harnesses. We ask that you can provide the following. * Enough Food and treats for the duration of the stay. * Leads, harnesses. * Medication with instructions. * Puppy pads if required. * Dog poo bags (Please) * Proof of vaccination status for first booking. ** Please Note the following** This isn’t our full time job, and we both work, but we do our upmost to make ourselves available for bookings, meet and greets, and general contact. But please be patient if we can’t always respond quickly and understanding if we aren’t available. All bookings require payment via Rover.com. No bookings can be confirmed until payment has been made. Rover.com cancellation policy applies. Thank you!!

Our code of conduct: - [ ] Dogs will not be walked outdoors during times of extreme heat/danger to life weather conditions. - [ ] Please provide a suitable harness for your dog according to size/strength( don’t worry If you don’t have one we will happily provide one to use during the stay) (please note it is a legal requirement for all dogs to wear a collar with the owners details on) - [ ] We would like to use an air tag on your dog whilst they board with us. This is a small electronic device attached to the pets collar which allows us to easily track their location in the unlikely event your pet goes missing. - [ ] PLEASE NO: Prong/pinch collars, spray collars, choke chains, shock collars or anything that is not to be used on animals in the UK. - [ ] Proof of pets vaccination status including flea, worming schedule. - [ ] Please provide Emergency owner/vet contact numbers - [ ] Please disclose any aggressive behaviour, bite history or any other behaviours we need to be aware of (We won’t judge - but please let us know) this is very important. - [ ] If any person/animal is injured or we believe there to be a substantial risk of harm whilst under our care that was not pre-disclosed Rover will be contacted and the contract will be terminated. It will be then be your responsibility to arrange another sitter or to collect your pet.
A typical day
Your pet will visit all the great nature walks/forests around our home for a scenic walk and then your dog will get play ball games and play with Darcy. We are lucky to live very close to the Brecon Beacons national park, Cwmcarn Forrest and have countryside all around. Upon returning home your dog will have the choice to take a quick nap in our luxury dog beds or continue to play with Darcy in the garden.

Hello! Welcome to Darcys pet sitting and home boarding services, run by Ida, Sean and Darcy the Lab. We are a licensed, fully insured, family run business specialising in bespoke doggy daycare and home from home boarding. Caerphilly council license number: AB062 Between us both, we have a lot of experience looking after family pets, along with over 67 happy Rover clients and with our own extensive client list. We have experience with puppies, adult and elderly dogs of all different breeds, sizes, and pawsonalitys. Sean has CPD accredited qualifications in Dog behaviour, Dog training, First Aid, CPD certified Dog walking and Dog behaviour and obedience. ( Please note we are not dog trainers and do not offer these services) We aim to be the most caring, loving and professional dog boarding around.

Thank you so much for taking our Robin last minute. Communication was great and a meet and greet was sorted soon after initial contact. Robin seemed very comfortable and happy with Sean and Darcie at the meet and greet and was treated to some nice treats from the jar! Sean kept me updated as to how Robin was on her night away and reassured me that she was doing well. Lovely first visit and we will definitely be coming back again soon :)
Great first visit for our Winnie with Sean! She came back a happy girl and Sean kept us updated on how she was doing and sent some lovely photos. Have already made plans to book with him again :)
