Home with Fenced-In Yard!

**New Client Requests: meet and greets are required before a new dog’s first stay. I generally try to hold meet and greets on a weekend morning, but can try to schedule during the weekday in the evening if that works better for you. In order to keep the dogs currently in my care safe and calm, all meet and greets are held completely outside in our fenced in backyard. We look forward to meeting you! Thank you! **At this time, we are unable to accommodate high-energy dogs who have a rambunctious play style. Although we love all dog personalities, our own dog Adler is getting older, slowing down, and becoming more uncomfortable around higher energies. We have to put his comfort as our top priority. **Starting January 1, 2024, my off times for drop off and pick up are between 11pm and 6am. An additional night will have to be added to the beginning or end of the stay if drop off or pick up falls within this time range. Thank you for understanding! Hello! My name is Scotty, and I have been caring for dogs all my life. I was taught at an early age that caring for dogs is an important responsibility, and I take it very seriously. I do not look at dog sitting as a way to make money, I look at it knowing this is what I was meant to do. When your dog boards with me, he/she will get the best personalized care possible all while staying in the comfort of a home space. I have a fully fenced backyard where your dog can romp around and play and do their business. Your dog will hardly ever be left alone, as I work with Rover full-time and I have my own canine companion, Adler. He is a friendly, Lab/Treeing Walker Coonhound mix and LOVES making new friends. He is approximately 80 pounds, so if your dog doesn't play well with others, I might not be the best choice. **Please note, I am no longer able to provide walks for your dog due to lower back issues. I more than make up for this by having frequent outside time in our fully fenced backyard as much as weather permits.** I want what is best for your pet - and I want you to feel comfortable leaving your pet in my care - so I offer complimentary Meet & Greets which will allow your dog(s) to meet me and my dog at my home. Here we can go over any special needs your pet may require and you can get a feel for the environment they would be in while you're away. Drop-Off/Pick-Ups need to be scheduled with me ahead of time so I can plan my day accordingly. This also helps me keep the dogs I care for calm and safe. Each "night" booked is for a 24 hour period. If pick up time is past the 24 hour mark on the final day,* it will incur either a half or full day charge — please refer to Rover’s “Extended Care” charges. Daycare is up to 10 hours. Additional hours is $2/additional hour. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me! I hope to hear from you, and meet your dogs! :) Best, Scotty W.

Scotty is amazing and cares for our 2 dogs as if they are his own! Our older dog has mobility issues and an extensive list of medications, so it is nice to have a trusted sitter for him! Cannot recommend enough.

Schedule

I work through Rover full-time while attending Cincinnati State, so your pet(s) will be getting constant care and attention in the comforts of a home space. My husband is also home to help much of the time I am away in class. Your pet’s care and comfort is my top priority.

A typical day

Your dog's sleeping arrangement: I want your dog to be comfortable in this new environment, so he/she would be able to sleep where ever they liked. You're more than welcome to bring their doggy bed and/or crate. I also own a few doggy beds that they can choose from, and they're more than welcome to hop up into my bed.

I do not have any breed preferences. I would love to learn your dogs daily routine and preferences dealing with food, exercise, toys, sleeping routine, compatibility with other dogs as well as people. Also, is there any ongoing training that you are currently teaching your dog? I would love to know how you're training your dog so that I may continue your training while you're away.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
