Information Scott T. would like to know about your pet

I love ALL dogs! The only thing I would need to know is if they are friendly with other dogs (and if it will be okay with mine...my dog loves ALL dogs, thankfully!)

A typical day

Whatever you dog enjoys doing, we'll do, in addition to daily walks at home and the Posse each day Monday thru Friday! So whether your angel is a wired pup, middle aged or a senior, I tailor their day on their needs and wants. And all dogs are allowed on my sofa, chairs and bed! But if you do not allow this, I will make sure they won't do so with me as to not confuse them for their return home!

I Love Dogs--They're Our Angels!

Pet care experience

Hi there, my name is Scott and I can't wait to meet you and your dog. I'll go out of my way to make your dog feel special and loved--and that you're comfortable and happy too! I've had dogs in my life since I was five and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've raised puppies (Brandi, my Aussie Shepherd mix is the latest) and rescued them from abusive situations as well. I also have experience with special needs dogs. There is NOTHING like the love of a dog. They're loyal, enthusiastic and their love is unconditional. They are our best friends for life. When I started with Rover 5 years ago I did so with my best friend and fur daughter, Brandi. It was because of her that I was able to become a pet sitter because she loved everyone, especially other dogs. Sadly, shortly after her 8th birthday 4 years ago she died of a rare, aggressive form of Lymes. I'm still not over losing her because she was truly my 'fur daughter'. So in her honor I have been rescuing seniors who sadly have been tossed aside in their golden years. I'm currently with my 3rd one, Cabot, and cherish every single minute I've shared with these golden oldie angels. I want to give them the life Brandi would have had before her time was up. I promise I will show your dogs the same love and devotion I've shown all of my dogs, my best friends. Each day I round up Brandi's Posse, a group between 3-6 dogs depending on the day, and take them to fields or friends yards that are fenced in so they can run, sniff, potty, play and socialize with each other. Almost each Posse member has been with me for years and they love each other. They're family to me and with each other. And they are very welcoming to Newbies, too! If you choose me to look after your angel you'll be selecting someone who will thoroughly enjoy spending time with them! This is more than a job to me, taking care of dogs is a way of life. Let's set up a meet and greet to see if we'd be a good match! **Update, and it's a sad one** My sweet angel, Brandi, had to be put to sleep July 25th after contacting a very aggressive Lyme disease called Nephitis, which attacked her kidneys. She was supposed to die 8 weeks before she did. But for 7 1/2 weeks she continued to run, play, beg for Mr. Softie despite what was happening to her kidneys. The vet was amazed she didn't slow down until the last 3 days of her much too short life. The vet said she was so loved and loved so much she didn't want to miss a thing those last 2 months. My angel is back in heaven. So I won't have her on walks any longer. But I know her spirit will be with us on them because she LOVED 'working' with me. Best coworker I ever had! Dogs ARE my life so I treat each one like they're family...because they are! Whether I've been watching them for 5 years or 5 minutes I treat them like they're my best friend...because they ARE! Did I mention I can't believe I get to love and be loved in return by dogs?? I'm truly blessed!! I've been watching the same dogs for years so I know them very well. They all get along with each other, especially when it's Posse time! So if you're dog is a Newbie I will slowly introduce them to each member before we go to the car. If, for some reason there's ANY issue, the Posse Owners understand that during your angel's stay their dog will be sidelined for the duration of the stay. Luckily, knock on wood, in 5 years I've only had one issue and haven't had the dog since. The Posse is family and listens to my every word. They're the best!!
