Week day: Our day kicks off with a refreshing morning walk, then it’s time to send the kids off to school and my wife to work—after that, it’s just you and me, teammate! We get some work done, take fun breaks with park walks and a little running to burn off energy. Later, we welcome everyone home with wagging tails and big smiles, enjoy some playtime, gather for a cozy family dinner, then wind down the day with a peaceful night stroll under the stars Saturday: Mornings kick off with family walks, beach trips, or mini hikes to start the tail-wagging fun! Your pup will have a blast playing with our bouncy 1-year-old, snuggling up for baby naps, and chilling with the crew in the afternoon. Then it’s time for another walk—maybe midday, maybe evening—followed by dinner, cuddles, and a peaceful night stroll under the stars. It’s a dog’s dream day Sunday: Relaxing Sunday vibes! We start with an early morning family walk, then enjoy the day with playtime, snacks, and more walks with our 13-year-old and our energetic 1-year-old.

Safety, trust & environment

I work from home so walks are frequent and lengthy (probably more for me than the pup). Also in the house are my wife (dog lover), 13 yo daughter (dog lover and animal whisperer) and 1 yo daughter who will be there to add love and attention as your little one. The 1 yo, she doesn't help out that much yet. :)

Information Scott T. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if there are any habits or rituals that they should be expecting. For example, before they eat, are they expected to sit, stay, and wait for a specific word? When they come home from a walk and need to get their harness off and feet cleaned, what's the process?

A typical day

Generally I will take them on two shorter potty walks, one longer socialization/exploration walk, and one long play session in our yard or at a park. Break time for me at work means play time for the pet - and I need a lot of breaks!

Pet care experience

Welcome to happy home for happy dogs! We are the dog lovers, who offer endless love, cuddles, play, and attentive care. Our motto is to provide love, support healthy habits, and care for health and nutrition, tailored to each individual’s personality. I have had dogs my entire life. I was a foster dog parent, has taken care of over 50 little ones on short-term notice (with a few tears shed at goodbyes). Our family includes me, my wife, our 13-year-old daughter who’s an animal whisperer, and our 1-year-old daughter who’s full of energy and wants to hug every dog, cat, or bird she sees. But we’re not quite ready to make another 10+ year commitment to a pet after losing our two beloved furry friends. But we love to have little cold wet noses in the house, so we'll be happy to welcome yours. I work from home, and a lot of dogs seem to enjoy keeping me company. They love taking break-time walks with me also. I am also available to do training during their stay. Please let me know if there is anything you'd like me to work on, either continuing your work or beginning anew. We just moved from a house to a 2 beds room condo, and they allow up to two dogs, each up to 60 pounds.

Scott and family welcomed Ellie into their home and took great care of her. They made sure to also relieve our anxiety with many pics and videos throughout the day. They kept us well informed when Ellie wasn’t feeling well and provided her with lots of love and hugs. We appreciate their whole family!

Scott, Io, and their family provided exceptional care for our dog, Boogie. From the moment we met them, it was clear that they genuinely love and care for animals, and they treated Boogie as if he were part of their own family. Throughout his stay, they went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable, happy, and well cared for. We received daily updates, photos, and videos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind while we were away. Seeing how relaxed, engaged, and loved Boogie was made it easy to enjoy our trip without worrying about him. Their kindness, attention to detail, and dedication exceeded our expectations. We are incredibly grateful for the outstanding care they provided and would not hesitate to have Boogie stay with Scott and Io again. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitters. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Boogie!
