Pet care experience

Your Pet’s Second Best Friend

What truly sets me apart from other sitters is the level of love, patience, and personal experience I bring to every pet I care for. As a pet owner myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else. I know firsthand how important reliable, attentive, and compassionate care is — because that’s exactly what I want for my own pets. I have experience working with puppies, including basic training reinforcement like potty training, crate training, leash manners, and positive behavior encouragement. I’m also comfortable caring for senior dogs who may need a slower pace, medication reminders, mobility support, or just a little extra patience and gentleness. Beyond the basics, I pay attention to the small details — each pet’s personality, routines, comfort needs, and quirks. Whether it’s energetic playtime, structured walks, cuddle sessions, or calm companionship, I tailor my care to what makes your pet feel safe and happy. To me, this isn’t just pet sitting — it’s caring for a member of your family. I treat every pet like they’re my own, with genuine love, responsibility, and respect.

Highly recommended! We were worried about boarding our puppy while going on vacation for the first time. But returning and hearing the wonderful time our puppy had, we will definitely be book w/ Savannah again!

My dog had a great time at Savannah’s house per the usual! She loves her dog and human friends at Savannah’s. It makes me so happy to know that she’s loved and well cared for when I’m out of town.

Savannah took wonderful care of our very energetic 7-month-old puppy. Everything went super smoothly, and Savannah was very kind and easy to coordinate care and communicate with. We would absolutely recommend her and look forward to booking with her again!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

Pet care is naturally built into my daily and weekly routine because I already structure my day around my own pets’ needs. Every morning and evening include scheduled walks and potty breaks to keep dogs active, comfortable, and on a consistent routine. I provide morning and evening feedings, with fresh water available at all times throughout the day. In addition to scheduled breaks, I let dogs out as needed — paying close attention to their cues to make sure they’re comfortable and never waiting too long. Because caring for animals is already part of my everyday life, adding another pet into my routine feels seamless. I prioritize consistency, supervision, exercise, and affection, making sure each pet feels secure and well cared for from morning to night.

Safety, trust & environment

My care always depends on the service requested, but my priority is the same in every setting: safety, consistency, and lots of love. In My Home: When pets stay with me, they become part of my daily routine. I maintain structured morning and evening walks, regular potty breaks throughout the day, scheduled feedings, and constant access to fresh water. I create a calm, clean, and pet-safe environment where they can relax comfortably. I follow the owner’s instructions closely — whether that’s crate training, reinforcing puppy training, administering medication, or providing extra support for senior dogs. I also make sure they receive plenty of playtime, affection, and supervision so they feel secure and at home. In My Client’s Home: When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. I follow feeding schedules, walk routines, potty breaks, medication instructions, and any household guidelines exactly as requested. I respect your home and keep everything clean and organized. Most importantly, I make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment while you’re away. No matter the location, I treat every pet like my own — with patience, attention to detail, and genuine love. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously.

Pets

A typical day

I love making sure every pet has fun while staying safe and comfortable! Activities always depend on the pet’s age, energy level, and personality. For high-energy dogs, I include long walks, playtime in the yard, fetch, tug-of-war, and mentally stimulating games to keep them active and happy. I also enjoy reinforcing basic training during play, especially with puppies who are still learning. For more relaxed or senior pets, I focus on gentle walks, slower-paced enrichment activities, cuddle time, and calm companionship. I pay attention to what they enjoy most — whether that’s belly rubs, interactive toys, or simply sitting close for comfort. If your pet enjoys social time, structured play and positive interaction are always part of the routine. If they prefer quiet time, I respect that too. My goal is to make sure they’re not just cared for — they’re genuinely enjoying their time while you’re away. Every pet is different, and I love tailoring activities to make them feel happy, stimulated, and loved.

To provide the best and safest care possible, there are a few important things I always ask owners to share with me: Feeding schedule and portion sizes (including treats allowed or food restrictions) Allergies or medical conditions Medications and instructions, if applicable Potty routine and signals your pet gives when they need to go out Energy level and exercise needs Behavior around other animals or people Any fears or triggers (loud noises, storms, separation anxiety, etc.) Training commands they know and any behaviors currently being worked on Crate training or sleeping preferences Emergency contact information and preferred vet The more I know about your pet’s routine, personality, and needs, the better I can make them feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. My goal is to keep their routine consistent and provide care that feels familiar and stress-free.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
