Active, outdoorsy dog lover!
I am a college student who loves connecting with and caring for animals. I've always had a passion for spending time with animals. I have spent many hours volunteering for animals at humane societies and playing with different breeds of dogs. I previously worked for Rover for about 2 years and then took a break to focus on school. I am a very observant person and I pay attention to an animal's body language and behavior to know just what they need. i'm a flexible, easy-going, and positive person who loves to be active especially when there's an animal around! I've always had animals and they will always hold a special place in my heart. I am very teachable and open to any personalized accommodations your pet may require!I live in a condo with a large backyard area(not fenced in). I also live less than half a mile away from a large park with walking trails and fenced in dog areas that I enjoy taking dogs to! I know how important exercise is and I enjoy taking dogs to local places like Robinson Preserve and Desoto National Memorial. If the pup is very old or has health issues, I of course don’t push them to exercise. It all depends on your pup and his/her needs. I do have a puppy of my own (8 month old Boston Terrier). She is so friendly and loves any dog/human she meets. Her favorite thing to do is go to the dog park so she would love to have some sleepovers with canine friends! One thing to note is that my pup, Josie, loves to play. Her dog park friends have done a good job to teach her about boundaries but if your dog isn’t big on playing with other dogs or doesn’t enjoy spastic, puppy energy, it may not be a good fit. She does calm down eventually but gets VERY excited when she first meets another dog. She has never shown any sign of aggression or dominance. Josie is crate trained and will happily go in her crate to sleep if the other pup needs a break!

If you are looking for a very loving and professional dog Walker, Savannah is your only choice! We were on vacation and hired her to walk our two Wired Hair Griffs. She came a day early to meet them, acclimate herself to the dogs, their needs and she answered all questions and asked questions too. Our dogs adored her. She went beyond what we needed and I know when we book our next vacation she will be our dog Walker. Thank you Savannah for taking such good care of Willow and Luna. They enjoyed their walks with you! That week flew by!
Savannah took such wonderful care of our “old” man while we were away. It had been such a long time since we left Hudson with anyone and we are very grateful to have found Savannah…was able to relax knowing Hudson was well cared for.

Savannah was absolutely amazing with Dixon! We rarely leave him with someone he doesn’t know but after this weekend, he loves her! She took him on plenty walks, cuddled him and gave him all the attention he wants! Whenever we come back we will definitely be using Savannah! Such a sweet girl and clearly loves dogs! Couldn’t recommend more highly!
Savannah is a very sweet girl & took good care of Porter while we were away. I would not hesitate to use her again.

Schedule
I am a student at USF finishing up my degree but I only have class Mondays/Wednesdays 9-11. I have another job and I am gone on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday mornings 6:30am-2pm. Other than that, I’m home!

Safety, trust & environment
I never take a dog outside without a leash on, I am very cautious when opening the door so that they don’t escape. I also never leave any dogs unattended. My pup is crate trained and goes in her crate anytime I leave the house. I have a camera so that I can watch her and make she is ok when I’m gone. My condo is “puppy proof” since I have been raising my puppy for the past 6 months.

A typical day
Whatever kind of personality your pet has, I can adapt to it quickly and recognize there wants and needs. I could play with dogs for hours if that’s what they want. If they would rather lay on the couch and sleep most of the day, that’s perfectly fine too! We will go on walks and make sure they have plenty of water afterwards! I assure your pet will be entertained and happy! With the Florida summer heat, I do not take dogs on any long walks/on any concrete between the hours of 10am-5pm. Only potty breaks in the grass. I do have a big unfenced backyard with some shade, long leashes and a baby pool that I fill up for my puppy to play in if she needs exercise when it’s too hot to go on walks during the day.

- I accept and love ALL breeds of dogs but due to neighborhood restrictions, I cannot take dogs over 40 lbs. I require a meet & greet prior to any boarding so that our dogs can meet and we can make sure it’s a good fit. We can do this in a neutral location or you can come to my home, or we can do both if your dog may be overwhelmed being exposed to a new home AND a bouncy puppy that wants to play at the same time.
