Hi! I’m Savannah, a young working professional in the dairy industry and, more importantly, a lifelong animal lover. ❤️ Growing up in South Africa, I was surrounded by nature and animals, and our home was always full of different pets, from dogs and cats to birds, hamsters and fish. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Over the years, my family and I have also rescued injured birds, cats and dogs, cared for them while they recovered, and helped find them loving new homes once they were healthy again. These experiences have taught me how important it is to be patient, gentle and attentive to every animal’s individual needs. I currently have two beautiful dogs back home in South Africa who I absolutely adore and miss terribly. Since living in the UK, I’ve also lived with friends who have had both dogs and cats. Even though we no longer live together, I’m still the person they call when they go away because they know their pets are in safe, loving and trusted hands. I’m offering my pet-sitting and dog-walking services primarily because I genuinely miss having animals around me. This isn’t something I’m doing simply as a way to make extra money, it’s something I’d love to do out of love, compassion and my genuine enjoyment of being around animals. Caring for other people’s pets gives me the opportunity to have that connection with animals again while giving owners complete peace of mind. When I look after an animal, I want to know everything that makes them them. I always make sure I understand their routine, dietary requirements, any health conditions or medication, which vet they’re registered with, how they are around other animals, whether they’re comfortable off lead, what their recall is like, their favourite toy and, most importantly, their favourite spot for a good scratch! 🐶🐱 I also keep owners updated while they’re away. I’ll happily send regular messages, photos and videos so you can see how your furry baby is doing and know they’re happy, settled and being well cared for. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, some company during the day, a drop-in visit, or someone to care for them while you’re away, I’d love to help. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so my priority is always making sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved and cared for, while giving you the reassurance that your precious fur baby is in good hands. Your pets are part of your family, and I’ll treat them like they’re part of mine. 🐾❤️

Savannah has been looking after my busy Cocker Spaniel, Stella, for years, ever since she was a puppy. Stella absolutely adores her, and I always know she’s in the safest and most loving hands whenever I’m away. Savannah takes the time to understand Stella’s breed-specific energy levels and needs, and always makes sure she gets plenty of exercise, training, games and attention during her stays. It’s clear how much she genuinely cares for the dogs in her care, and I have complete peace of mind knowing Stella is happy, well looked after and treated like one of her own. I couldn’t recommend Savannah highly enough to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust to care for their pet.
Your pet is in great hands with Sav. She’s so attentive , makes sure your dog gets all the walkies, love and attention that they need. She’s easily contactable and good about sending photos if you request them. I’ll use Sav again and again!

Schedule
I work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, and I’m very flexible at weekends, which means I can give your pet plenty of company, attention and care throughout the day. My home is pet-friendly and set up to make your pet feel comfortable. I have a secure, fenced patio on the first floor, with direct access from my home. For dogs, there is a dedicated piece of artificial turf on the patio to encourage them to use the space when needed. This is thoroughly cleaned between pets. I’m also surrounded by lovely parks and walking spots, so dogs staying with me can enjoy plenty of fresh air, exercise and enrichment, depending on their usual routine and needs. For indoor cats, I have secure windows that can be latched safely, with accessible windowsills where they can relax, watch the world go by and enjoy the view. 🐱 In the evenings, I’m happy to spend time playing, giving cuddles and attention, or simply creating a calm and relaxing environment where your pet can settle down and feel at home. I’m very happy to work around your pet’s normal routine wherever possible, I know that keeping things familiar can make all the difference when they’re away from home.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my priority. Before their stay or visit, I like to understand their normal routine, personality, dietary requirements, health needs, behaviour around other animals and anything else that helps them feel comfortable and secure. In my own home, I provide a calm and welcoming environment where pets can settle in at their own pace. My patio is securely fenced, and I always make sure doors, windows and access points are secure. Dogs can use the patio when needed, with artificial turf that is thoroughly cleaned between pets, as well as enjoying walks at nearby parks. For cats, I make sure windows are securely latched and that they have safe spaces to relax, including accessible windowsills where they can watch the world outside. I’m also very conscious that every pet is different. I’ll never force interaction, introduce them to other animals without your knowledge, or change their routine unnecessarily. I follow your instructions carefully and give pets the right balance of exercise, play, affection, rest and personal space. When caring for pets in their own home, I treat their home and belongings with the same respect I would my own. I follow their usual routine as closely as possible and make sure they are comfortable, safe and never left without appropriate care. I’ll also keep you updated with regular messages, photos and videos, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe and being looked after with genuine care. ❤️
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor the day around their usual routine, energy levels and personality. For dogs, a typical day might include a good morning walk at one of the lovely nearby parks, plenty of sniffing and exploring, followed by some downtime at home. Throughout the day there’ll be opportunities for play, cuddles, enrichment and another walk or toilet breaks depending on their needs. For cats, I’ll follow their lead, whether they want interactive play with their favourite toys, some gentle fuss and attention, or simply a peaceful spot to watch the world go by. I’m equally happy keeping a playful kitten entertained or giving a more independent cat the space they prefer. I also love the little things that make pets happy, playing fetch, finding their favourite scratch spot, practising commands they already know, giving them enrichment activities and, of course, plenty of cuddles when they’re asking for them! Evenings are usually a little calmer, with relaxed playtime, cuddles and plenty of quiet time to help them settle. Most importantly, I’ll make sure your pet gets the same kind of routine, exercise and affection they’re used to at home, so their time with me feels like a fun little holiday rather than a disruption to their normal life. ❤️
