My background in pet care goes back to living in a household that often fostered un-homed animals. I have been working in a professional setting with animals for the past two years and in that time I have acquired my CPR and first aid training for both cats and dogs! I dedicate myself to providing the necessary care for every personality of pet.

Safety, trust & environment
Starting as a stranger in a pet’s home, requires the ability to build trust so that they themselves feel comfortable, as well as you, the client. I myself am the owner of a 90 lb. Staffordshire breed. The comfort and safety of my pet is my number one priority. This is something I keep in mind during walks, being in a fenced in backyard, or traveling with pets in my vehicle. I feel that vigilance and attentiveness are crucial skills to prevent putting a dog in a stressful or potentially dangerous situation.

Savannah has been walking my dogs for many months, probably almost a year at this point. She has a great affection and relationship with animals. I trust Savannah immensely. I have an older 13 year old dog, a 9 year old dog and a 3 year old. She can handle them easily at once as needed and it's obvious that they love her. She accommodates all of their needs without me having to ask-- as my oldest dog has developed some mobility issues, Savannah manages her needs and then will take the younger two on a walk to give the older pup a break. Savannah is timely, conscientious and communicative. it is obvious she loves animals. I'm so glad she walks my dogs and would hire her for dogsitting if I could (she isn't offering that at the time of writing this). I would hire Savannah for my dogs needs again if i could!
Savannah has been our weekly dog-walker since the beginning of 2026 and she has been great! Our dog looks forward to the walks with Savannah and always has her tail wagging when she arrives. Savannah understands our dog's behaviors including the dislike of the heat. On days it's really hot, Savannah knows to take it slow and let our dog roll in the grass to cool off and to not go far. Savannah also can manage our dog when it does snow and she wants to play, a lot. Savannah also knows how to handle our dog's high prey instinct to lurch after bunnies, cats and other creatures. We completely trust Savannah with our dog and would highly recommend her for dog walking.

Schedule
At this time, I am working part-time for a wonderful dog walking business and including my own work into my schedule. Most of my availability is in the evenings, but I’m more than willing to discuss your specific needs as a client!
