As a work-from-home student and regular animal foster, pet care has become a central part of my routine and lifestyle. I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive, hands-on care. I’m naturally a calm homebody, and my house is a very low-stimulation environment. This allows pets staying with me to receive lots of supervision, interaction, enrichment, play, and rest throughout the day.

1. Safety: I pay close attention to animals in my care- monitoring their health and ensuring their curiosity stays safely contained. I routinely check that gates, doors, and leashes are properly latched, feeding instructions are accurate, and any potential hazards are removed ahead of time. I follow existing medication and walking schedules, crate routines, feeding instructions, mobility support needs, coat and body care routines, and can offer light training reinforcement when needed. Although I have systems in place for maximum safety, I require vet contact information in the case of an unexpected emergency. 2. Trust: If you feel anxious being away from your pet, or just really miss them, asking to FaceTime or Zoom is welcomed and encouraged. I try to answer messages and calls as soon as possible, and will accommodate each booking to the best of my ability. 3. Environment: We have a comfortable 3 bedroom home that is tidy-but-lived-in, with a fully fenced in backyard, and plenty of room to play. There are carpeted stairs to get inside, outside, and upstairs, and central heat and AC throughout that we adjust accordingly throughout the seasons. Depending on temperament, comfort level, owner preference, and availability- pets from seperate families may enjoy carefully supervised companionship and/or their own private room during their stay. Animals who need separation during boarding- or who simply prefer quieter or smaller environments- will be provided with their own private room, with bedding and windows, to decompress, settle in comfortably, and feel safe and secure (limited availability). If you would like the entire home for your pet(s) stay, the daily price increases to $90/night and $35 per additional pet (please send this in your initial request).

Hi, I’m Van! I’m a responsible, experienced, down-to-earth caregiver with a big heart for animals and a deep respect for the bond you share with your pets. I grew up caring for my family’s small dogs, cats, and critters- often taking them to the nursing home my mom worked at to provide animal therapy. Through more than a decade of nannying, household management, and volunteer work, I’ve learned to care for many large and giant breed dogs, and some great farm animals 🐣 I’m an AmeriCorps alum and genuinely love goal-centered service work. For over 3 years now, I’ve been volunteering with The Humane Society in Tacoma as a dog walker 🦮 foster ❤️🩹 enrichment volunteer 🦴 and pawpurrazzi 📸 This not only tells you I’d do this type of work for free if I could- it also means I’ll send you the sweetest photos of your pets every time you book! Because I maintain a flexible schedule, your pet will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, and individualized attention throughout the day 🐾

Savannah was an excellent dog sitter while I was out of town. They did everything in their power to ensure I felt comfortable and confident leaving Georgia behind in their care. They proactively offered details on their schedule to ensure that my dog received the care I was expecting and went above and beyond to administer my dogs medication by making her homemade pill pockets, which I was particularly delighted by. 10/10, would choose to dog sit again!
Savannah is an incredibly caring and kind person, and they are amazing at taking care of your sweet pets! They love dogs and have been so sweet to my high energy poodle. I would definitely recommend Savannah as an awesome pet care provider!
Savannah is, without exaggeration, a puppy whisperer. They have the kind of calm, gentle energy animals seem to recognize instantly, and they bring so much patience, care, and compassion into everything they do. I recently saw this firsthand when a mutual friend’s puppy walked into the room and completely ignored everyone except Savannah. The second that puppy saw them, they absolutely melted with excitement, like they had just found their favorite person in the whole world. It was such a sweet reminder of how deeply animals trust Savannah and how naturally they connect with them. Beyond being wonderful with pets, Savannah is one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I’ve ever met. They devote so much of their time to community service, including caring for and supporting shelter animals, which says everything about the size of their heart. I would feel completely confident leaving my fur babies in Savannah’s care. Any pet would be lucky to have them, and any pet parent would have peace of mind knowing Savannah is watching over them.
Savannah is super wonderful and treats your pet like their own. I always know my boy is gonna be safe and happy and snuggled when spending time with them. I trust their experience with various pets and their ability to communicate if they have any questions or concerns. It really helps to have the peace of mind when going out of town, knowing everyone is having a good time!
