I have over 10 years of professional experience in animal care, and am excited to meet you and your pet! I am a former dog obedience trainer at a day program in the area, have worked in several boarding kennels, and have been pet sitting professionally for a decade. I am also a volunteer for my local animal control shelter and have fostered dogs for multiple local rescues. I am experienced with dogs with a variety of behavior concerns, including reactivity, anxiety, and timidness. I take pride in having made friends with even the shyest and most skeptical cats and dogs I've encountered. I know it’s scary to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I work hard to make you and your pet’s experience what I would want if it were my own animals! **Walks and Drop Ins** I am available and flexible to come check in on your pet or take your dog for a walk when you're away! Safety is my number one priority when spending time with your animal. I always walk dogs with a backup sliplead in addition to their normal collar or harness (with owner permission) in case of emergency. If weather is too cold or wet for your pup, we can spend time indoors playing tug or doing enrichment activities! For cats, please inform me if your kitty is an escape artist! I am happy to scoop litter, play, feed, and snuggle - whatever your cat would like. **House Sitting** Having your pet stay at home while you're away is a great option for keeping them calm and safe in their own environment. We will work together to figure out your pets' specific needs and tailor a schedule to best suit them. Don't worry, you'll get lots of updates and pictures to see what your cat or dog is up to while you're away! Most typical house sitting includes overnights in your home, but if preferred I am also able sleep at my own home and provide daytime care according to your individual needs. We will always discuss and figure out a plan at the meet and greet! I am happy to provide additional home care like watering plants and bringing in mail, but I am unable to provide snow removal assistance at this time.

We had Savannah watch our two big dogs at our home over Labor Day weekend while we were on a remote hiking trip. I was feeling really nervous leaving our dogs with someone new when I wouldn’t have cell service to check on them. Savannah went the extra mile to put my mind at ease, had great communication throughout, and we came home to happy healthy dogs. Savannah housesat for our senior kitty recently and was a real gem to work with! She was patient and kind and asked specific questions about care beforehand. When we had an unexpected house issue just before her stay, Savannah was understanding and flexible as we sorted it out. We received plenty of updates and photos while we were away, and felt assured that our kitty was in good hands. We would absolutely rebook with Savannah in the future!

Schedule
***Policies*** - Behavior concerns, within reason, are fine! I am experienced with a variety of behavior concerns including reactivity, resource guarding, and anxiety. I just need you to inform me of what they are PRIOR to booking so that I can make your pup's stay as safe and fun as possible for everyone. If your dog is fear aggressive to people entering the home, I will require that they be restrained in some way away from the door in a kennel or gated area so I can safely enter the home, and may suggest we book some walks prior to the stay to make sure your pup knows and is comfortable with me - Dogs must be comfortable being left for 4-5 hours alone. While I work mostly remotely, I have a few work shifts outside of the home where dogs must be comfortable being home alone without me. -I expect that your dog is current on core vaccines like rabies and distemper, and current on flea and tick medication. I am unable to care for animals/homes with fleas, and unable to stay overnight in excessively dirty/unclean homes.

- I need to know if your dog is dog friendly, crate trained, potty trained, has separation anxiety, or has any reactivity to other dogs or people. I need to know if your dog is a "runner" or will try to escape from doors or fences. Please let me know if your dog has any behavior concerns so that I can be aware in advance to make our time together the best and safest that it can be!
