I work for the city of Richmond and go into the office Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. I work remotely Thursdays and Fridays so would be home with your four legged family all day those days!

I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs (golden retrievers) of my own if you’d like to drop your baby off at my house. There is also a cat living here but she keeps to my room mostly. I recently bought a house with my momma (lifelong dream of mine!) and it’s crawlspace needs some encapsulation which is why I am here on rover! I’ve also lived with both my siblings caring for their babies and animals when I had a fully remote job previously so I am used to being respectful in someone’s else’s space if you are looking for in home care.

Information Savanna G. would like to know about your pet
Anything you think is important to know! I’ve cared for all kinds of animals and have training from the pound I used to volunteer at. In my experience, animals will let you know if they’re not getting something that they need. I pay close attention to details and try to live with loads of compassion so I will notice signs and behaviors that may indicate a necessary course correction.
A typical day
I love to knit (picked this up watching YouTube during quarantine) while hanging out with a furry friend and listening to an audiobook or podcast. I’ll also chat a lot with your pet (I’ve always talked to myself, don’t worry it’s fine) so you don’t have to worry about them feeling too lonely.

Pet care experience
In my first summer out of college (where I studied hospitality and business mgmt @ JMU), I fancied myself an entrepreneur and started a dog walking service in my apartment building at home. I had a great time meeting my neighbors and felt much more connected to the community. Unfortunately, Perky Paws (the name of my business haha) only lasted the one summer as I began working at a hotel in my college town and stayed there for the next few years. Since college I have house sat for friends and through river, volunteered at animal shelters, and have a few of my own pets at home.
Reviews

Good communication and took great care of our dog! Also went abovto and beyond looking after the house

Savanna was great! She took excellent care of our senior cats and our house while we were away. Super communicative and kind. Cats liked her immediately! :)
We would use Savanna again. Our cats seemed to be happy campers on our return.

Savanna took great care of our 2 dogs and house. She was in contact often and sent pics. She is fantastic and we felt at ease leaving town with our girls in her care. I highly recommend Savanna.
