Pet care experience
Empathetic cat cognitive scientist!
I love cats! I have my kitty Chester, a sweet orange tabby for about a year, I'm raising with my partner Dan (LGBTQIA). He's almost 2. I have taken care of friend's cats before. I have a PhD in Cognitive Science and work as a UX designer and CPO of my AI ed-tech startup to teach STEM to students visually through simulations. Hence, I think a lot about cat theory of mind, how to build trust and empathy with cats and how to measure it (to know how I'm doing!). I also love to have fun playing with bird toys, ball toys and many other. I'm a very anxious and careful person by nature which is to your benefit: I will be very careful about following all of your rules (I'm the same way with Chester), likely wear gloves and long sleeves the first time so none of us need to worry about biting and will keep you informed of everything that goes on with your kitty. I am doing Rover to help fund me as I work on getting my educational startup for kids off the ground and because I love cats. As a result I have high flexibility to take care of your furry loved one. I'm fiercly analytical, organized and years of corporate UX work and my law degree make me an excellent communicator and project manager. I am very, very detail oriented. Give me a list of 100 things to do or not do and they will be followed perfectly, just like writing up JIRA tickets for a tech product! I'm excited to meet new cats, owners (I'm a people person by trade), tell you about my side baking business if interested, take care of your loved ones, learn new things about cats for Chester and have a lot of fun! If I sound like a match, please do message me to start our journey together :)
Pets
Safety, trust & environment
I have my kitty. I live alone, so no potential issue with roommates (my partner is there sometimes, but he owns my cat along with me, so is fine). I'm very careful to make sure windows are not open, dietary restrictions followed, etc.

Schedule
I am working on my ed-tech startup, so I can do some daytime hours. I care more about hours of focused concentration during the week than exact times. Do most of my work Tu to Thursday, Saturday for partner, but have flexibility wouldn't have as a FTE employee right now.
