Safety, trust & environment

I live in a flat in Cotham with my boyfriend who is equally dog mad. We have a shared front garden suitable for a quick wee, and multiple parks/green spaces close by. If looking after over a weekend, we have a car and usually go hiking, so pup being reliable off the lead and not reactive with wildlife/other dogs is a must.

Lives in an apartment
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs not allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Information Saskia F. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any issues/allergies/certain needs before they come. Unfortunately I can’t accept dogs which bark a lot due to living in a flat, ones which chew furniture, or ones which are particularly possessive over food/toys etc.

A typical day

I love to play ball/stick/hiding games with them, and usually do a morning walk to St Andrews/Cotham Gardens with lots or ball/stick games, and the Downs/Brandon Hill/ further afield in the evenings when time/season permits. At weekends we often head to the Mendips, South Wales or the Cotswolds.

Love dogs and the outdoors!

Pet care experience

I grew up on a sheep farm with 3 border collies (of varying temprement!) and a revolving door of labradors and English Bull Terriers. I’m competent and comfortable with large and strong breeds, puppies, seniors (and anything in between), and those with behavioural quirks/fears. I also volunteer with The Cinnamon Trust, which supports elderly and terminally ill people with their pet care.

Saskia and Brad were amazing! First time looking after Guinness and he loved it. It was super hot and they made sure he was cool and put ice blocks down, just above and beyond! 10/10 and will definitely keep in touch! Great great doggy hosts!

Morgan thoroughly enjoyed a lovely day at Saskia’s, in which worked hard at taking up most of the space on the sofa. He would love to come back and sofa hog again!

I felt really comfortable leaving my new rescue greyhound with Saskia. I could tell that she was knowledgable about dog behaviour & that made me feel confident about leaving Bailey for the first time. Saskia has a calm & friendly energy and my dog certainly seemed relaxed in her presence. I came home to find Bailey feeling very settled & happy. I am certainly happy to re-book Saskia again.
