I am flexible at the moment and am a part time postgrad, therefore I can likely work round you! I enjoy an active lifestyle which includes running, walking and exploring new places. There are beautiful walks and surrounding areas such as forest, beach and fields near my location. Therefore, if it's appropriate for your pet, I'd love to bring them along! I understand the importance of following your pet's routine as far as possible, so feel free to provide specifics.

Information Sasha J. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or requirements ahead of time such as whether you're happy for me to have him/her off the lead and any quirks or strange habits I need to be aware of, e.g. my puppy used to ingest socks which was incredibly strange and concerning :/ I would like to know as much as possible about their character - are they nervous, cautious etc. Tell me about their normal routine, such as when they are used to being fed and how much, what they like to play with and how, and how they interact with other dogs when on a walk. How are they in a car and being left alone for short periods of time? Also, let me know what commands they are familiar with, so that I can use the same ones to reinforce positive behaviour. Let me know anything that 'triggers' them, such as cats, squirrels, cyclists. Provide information on any medication they need to be given, if relevant.

A typical day

I am located in a beautiful, peaceful and relatively remote area. Fun activities will include tugging and interactive games, ball throwing and running and playing with the dogs to tire them out. If you have any suggested games or preferred ways of playing with your pets that you would like me to do, I am happy to take on those suggestions and ideas. I used to play hide and seek with my puppy as well and he always found that quite entertaining so I can do that too. I am fortunate to have access to a car which makes it easy to go to the pretty locations within the area and further away!

Pet care experience

🩵 Available for day care and boarding🩵 Having grown up with 2 dogs (one border collie and another rescue ridgeback cross) from 4 years of age means that I am lucky enough that dogs have always been part of my family and life. One of them in her latter life was completely blind and slightly deaf, so I have some experience with special needs dogs. My beautiful border collie who I initially brought up in Edinburgh and who is now almost 4 years old, is currently in my home country with my incredible parents. I am missing him loads and would love to have a running pal and companion for my adventures :) With him, I was responsible for and experienced the full puppy care routine of house training, puppy walking, basic training, bathing, vet visits etc, so I fully understand the many challenges that come with it.

Hank was healthy and happy when I got home. Sasha did a good job of letting me know when she walked him before and after her work shifts, so I knew he was taken care of. (I also appreciated her taking the compost bin to the curb while I was away.)

Sasha seems very conscientious, wanting to meet my dog and make sure they work well together before agreeing to a longer term commitment. She seems to do really well with him.

Sasha was brilliant with Luna, taking her out on adventures, and understanding her quirks. Luna had a great time!

I highly recommend Sasha. She took great care of Zoey with cuddles, food and walks. She was mindful of my suggestions and Zoey's preferences and very communicative.
