Paw-tential dog friends welcome!
Me and my wife Cathy dog sit for friends all the time and love it. We're only a few blocks away from the dog park under RFK bridge, and 3 blocks away from Astoria Park — where we love to walk dogs. Spacious apartment in a house in a quiet street in Upper Ditmars with plenty of room for dog crates, toys, etc. so that your pet will feel comfortable. No kids in the apartment and we only board one dog at a time so it's a very chill environment.

Sasha and Cathy went above and beyond to ensure our Lyle has the most comfortable, and joyful boarding experience. I received lots of pictures of the adventures they went on, and felt so at ease while my boyfriend and I were away. This was our first time using Rover, and we were very happy with our booking! We can’t recommend Cathy and Sasha enough to anyone who might be a bit anxious about being away from their fur babies. Thank you for everything! Can’t wait for your next hang with our Lyle!
Sasha and Catherine were so wonderful and patient with our dog with separation anxiety! Bandit does not like to be left behind and was having a hard time for the first few days and Sasha and Catherine were very communicative and proactive in helping him settle. I felt that Bandit was in very capable hands and was safe and well cared for while we were away. By the time we got back everything seemed to be going really well - I appreciated Sasha and Catherine's patience in working to find the best ways to soothe Bandit. They sent regular updates with photos. I highly recommend Sasha and Catherine for your dog sitting needs!
Sasha and Catherine were wonderful hosts for Bandit. He has separation anxiety and needs some patience which they were more than up for the task of providing. They got him to take two walks, which he won't always do without his core family. They put us at ease every step of the way and we will definitely be using them again in the future! Sasha & Cathy were absolute lifesavers. I am so glad we chose to leave our puppy Ron with them for the weekend. While Ron is a very sweet dog, he’s high energy and can be a lot of work—but they made it look easy. From the moment I met them, I felt relieved and could immediately tell he was in great hands. They were kind, capable, and clearly cared for him like their own. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.
Sasha and Cathy always do the best job taking care of our very anxious pup! Though there are many dog sitters in our neighborhood, we go out of our way to use them because we trust them fully to handle all of his special needs. We can tell Oscar feels comfortable with them too - a big deal for our selective dog!
Would def choose them again ! Great communication ! They sent pictures and kept me updated on everything she was doing . Very convenient for me as well (location wise). 5 stars !

Schedule
With enough notice, I can work from home for 3 days in a row (in addition to weekends). Can easily walk your pet first thing in the morning, twice during the day, and right before bedtime.

Safety, trust & environment
Comfortable with crating your dog or leaving them free during the day/night. We don't mind if they sit on couches. We also love to play with them and give them snuggles (if they're comfortable). Will communicate with client regularly and provide photos throughout stay.
A typical day
We explore the Upper Ditmars area of Astoria. I try to stay clear of the N/W subway line as some pets don't like the noise. I frequent the dog parks under the RFK bridge and in Astoria Park. When walking your pet in Astoria Park, I'll never unleash them (unless given specific permission to do so).
