Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate visits throughout the day. I’m typically available between 10am–8pm and I can adjust to your pet’s normal routine if they’re used to specific feeding or medication times. If you request a specific time, I aim to arrive right around the scheduled time. Some clients are flexible with their drop-in time and in those cases I usually complete visits no later than 5–6pm, depending on my availability that day. I do appreciate flexibility when it’s offered, but I’m always happy to follow a set routine based on your specific pets’ needs.

I know it can feel vulnerable or even stressful to have someone new in your home and I take that responsibility very seriously. Your space and your privacy matter to me, and I always aim to make you feel completely at ease while you’re away. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus solely on the areas needed for your pet’s routine. I don’t go into unnecessary rooms or spaces, I treat your home with the utmost respect and care, and I aim to leave common areas the same or better than I found them. I always follow instructions closely, keep routines consistent, and make sure your pets feel safe and comfortable. I’m mindful of doors, gates, feeding areas, and home security, and I always double check that everything is locked and secured before I leave.

It’s really helpful for me to know anything important about your pet’s routine, personality, and needs ahead of time. This can include feeding instructions, medications, sensitivities, quirks, favorite activities, or anything that helps me understand how to make them feel safe and comfortable. If your pet has any anxiety, reactivity, medical needs, or behaviors I should be mindful of (such as escape attempts, noise sensitivity, or needing slow introductions), please let me know so I can show up prepared and give them the care and support they need. The more I know about your pet, the better I can make sure they feel understood, secure, and well cared for while you’re away. ❤️

A typical day with me depends on your pet’s personality and what they enjoy most. For dogs who love to get out and explore, I’m happy to go on walks and play outside. On certain occasions, I’m also glad to take well-socialized dogs on a hike or to a dog park if that’s something you’d like and feel comfortable with. For calmer pups or senior dogs, we can take gentle strolls, enjoy plenty of cuddles, or relax together in their favorite cozy spot. For cats, I aim to provide engaging play, brushing (if desired), and gentle companionship based on their needs. Whether your cat is feeling playful, snuggly, or shy, I do my best to honor their boundaries and give them enrichment or space based on how they’re feeling each day.

I’ve lived with and loved animals of all kinds such as dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, and even reptiles. I have always had a natural connection with animals of all kinds and I take pride in giving them quality care. When your pets are with me, I treat them with the same gentleness, attention and love that I give my own. I’m comfortable with everything from energetic pups to shy or sensitive animals who need extra patience and understanding. I have familiarity with disabled/special needs animals and I have experience administering medication as well. In addition to caring for your pets, I’m also happy to water your plants and help maintain your home while you’re away. I always aim to leave a space better than I found it so you can return to a clean, peaceful environment and happy animals. Your pets’ safety, comfort and emotional well being are always my top priorities. 💛
