Sarah has volunteered to walk dogs at the shelter for several years. She is dependable, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She reads dogs body language and reacts appropriately. I am very grateful for the work she has done with the shelter dogs.

Sarah has been a volunteer with the Humane Society for several years. During this time, she has worked with our kennel enrichment program. In this program volunteers go into a kennel with a dog and give them one on one time. They teach sit, down, being petted, etc. Sarah also walks some of our dogs. To do these thiings, she first received training which she picked up easily.

She genuinely cares for them, seeking ways to make them comfortable while reinforcing expected behavior. She enjoys their presence and personalities while managing their responses. She is a great observer of indicators that signal positive or negative reactions to events and stimuli and responds appropriately. No matter the size, energy level, or characteristic responses of the dog, Sarah is equipped for productive interactions, providing safe, loving care. She is also a great team member and a kind, friendly, responsible, and respectful person to work with.
