Pet care experience

I will treat your baby as my own

I am very experienced in taking care of animals. I worked as a vet tech for 5 years. I am capable of giving medication if needed and I know safety and signs to look for if anything is going on with your beloved pet. I have a deep love and understanding of animals and would love to care for your baby like family while you are away. All animals are allowed on furniture if allowed by you and the bed as well. I introduce to other animals if that is ok with you. If it isn’t I have several separated yards that each family can go out in, all fenced in. I like to provide pictures at the end of a day recap just to keep your mind at ease.

Sarah helped me when I needed a last minute sitter! She was a great communicator, reasonably priced, and sent cute picture updates that made me feel very confident with her care! She spent time brushing and playing with my cats favorite toys every day. I’m very lucky she was available

This is the second time Sarah has watched my dog. Again, she did a great job. My dog was happy playing with the other dogs and Sarah's daughter. I plan on booking with her again.

I booked with Sara to Dogsit for a few hours a day while I was visiting from out of state. Sara was nice when I met her and discussed my Dog’s needs and his issues with anxiety and being left alone. We had several messages describing the fact that he would only be there for a few hours during the day because he could not be left alone at the hotel. When I brought him over, I was a little concerned with the amount of animals that were there because it seemed a little excessive. When I contacted her to pick my dog up that afternoon, she was not at home. She claims that she misunderstood that he was only there for the day. She also claimed she misunderstood that he was not to be left alone. Because of the mishandling of my very clear instructions, I opted not to carry my dog back the next day and instead just canceled the rest of my trip. I was billed for two full nights and when I contacted her for a refund, she was very defensive and told me she could not help me that I had to deal with Rover Customer Service. Her reasoning was that she misunderstood because she has so many dogs in her care. All of the instructions were in our message feed and very clear. I have been very shocked that someone would have so many dogs in their care that they cannot follow. Very simple instructions. I was not going to write any type of review that would be derogatory. However, Customer Service has encouraged me to let others know of my experience. She mentioned that she has 8 to 10 dogs at her house at all times, a two year-old and a baby on the way. It seems that she is possibly overwhelmed and may need to decrease the amount of animals in her home so that she can focus clearly on the ones that she is being paid to care for.

Safety, trust & environment

Any pet is welcome in our home. I have my own dogs that they are always welcome to play with if they want. All animals are allowed on the furniture and they have lots of toys to play with here too. I feed all Dogs separately just for safety reasons and I have separate areas for outside time if necessary. I will feed your baby according to your schedule and when they are used eating and going potty.

Pets

A typical day

We are home all day together and spend most of the day outside on a beautiful sunny day. We like to leave our door open a lot and play outside in our fence. We can play fetch and any chew or tug toys are available. We sometimes will go on walks down our road as we live on a non busy country road.
