I'm currently working part-time remotely as a social worker, so I'm available during the day and most evenings, around some meeting times.

Pets are usually most comfortable in their own homes, so I try to keep their routine and environment as similar to your usual style as possible! If they are in my home, they will be welcome to enjoy my fully fenced in yard, a small home so I can keep a close eye on them, and I can easily cover furniture so they're welcome to snuggle next to me on the couch!

I have more experience with smaller size dogs, but bigger breeds make great company! Any behaviors or health conditions are (of course) preferable to know ahead of booking. I have a few years of experience caring for senior dogs with extra needs, so I'm able to provide gentle and patient care for them!
A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks! If you have a preferred place to take your furry friend, I will gladly follow that trail. I'm also a fan of fetch, tricks for treats, and tug of war. Wherever I'm sitting for your pet, you can expect photo updates and frequent communication so you know that your fur baby is well taken care of! If they're in my home, I do have a few toys and treats of my own but they often like to have their own favorites brought with them! There's lots of parks and trails around my neighborhood, so if they're up for exploring, I'd be happy to take them for walks nearby. I'm in a very safe and calm neighborhood, there are a lot of other dogs being walked frequently. If your dog is more reactive to others, there's also nearby secluded trails we could use. I am allergic to cats, so I'd prefer not to be in homes where cats are living. If it's a really great fit, I could do a couple days easily and would consider longer stays after meeting with you!

Pet care experience
I grew up with 2 cocker spaniels which are my ideal size (perfect for lap cuddles), but I don't discriminate much when it comes to loving any size dog! I'm an excellent communicator in finding out what your expectations are and getting to know your dogs' personality. Dogs like that I enjoy keeping them active, I love playing, walking, and of course snuggling. I have a huge heart for rescued pets. I bought my first house recently and made sure there was a fully fenced backyard so any dogs visiting could run and play freely! I am so excited to spend some time getting to know you and your doggy friend. *Please note: I am allergic to cats. I can do check ins for them but prefer not to stay overnight in a home with cats.

Sarah has been amazing with our boys. Our older guy can be a handful and she managed to win him over. We’ve had Sarah sit for us twice already and are already planning to reserve her for more trips.
