Information Sarah T. would like to know about your pet

I like to learn as much as possible about a pet ahead of time so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free. It’s helpful to know their daily routine, feeding schedule, walk preferences, energy level, and any medical or behavioral needs. I also appreciate knowing what comforts them, what may trigger anxiety or reactivity, and how they communicate stress or excitement. For cats, details about litter routines, feeding, play preferences, and personality are especially helpful. The more I know upfront, the better I can tailor my care to your pet’s comfort and well-being.

A typical day

A typical day depends on your pet’s needs and energy level. For dogs, that usually means walks, meals, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of love and reassurance. I enjoy doing enrichment activities like sniff walks, gentle games, or quiet hangout time - especially for dogs who do best with a calm routine. Cats get just as much attention, whether that’s playtime, feeding, litter care, or simply keeping them company on their terms.

dog mom w/ some extra love to share

Pet care experience

I am a mom to a very special 11 year old medium sized pup who I have raised since she was a puppy. Through her, I've gained deep experience caring for dogs with sensitivities, anxiety, and reactivity, and I approach every animal with patience, empathy, and respect for their individual needs. I understand that not all dogs fit the “easygoing” mold, and I genuinely enjoy building trust with pups who need a little extra care and understanding. I also have extensive experience with cats - I grew up with them and have lived in shared spaces with them over the past 8 years. I’m comfortable meeting them where they’re at, whether they’re social, shy, or independent. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and emotional well-being are always my top priority. Please note: My dog, Rylee, is very neutral and impartial with other dogs. If you book boarding, she will be in the home - she is happy to share her space, beds and toys. When booking a walk, please let me know your preference if you'd like your dog to have a 1 on 1 walk or if they wouldn’t mind Rylee joining - I am happy to accommodate either way.

I have been a close friend of Sarah for several years now. She genuinely loves animals and they are her favourite kind of human. She is reliable and patient, and she takes pet care seriously. The care and love she has for her dog Rylee says everything. She has house sat for me many times over the years and taken care of my cat Betty. Betty is shy and nervous, but Sarah has taken the time to build a bond with her and has always taken great care of her. She always puts the animal’s comfort and safety first. Sarah communicates well and doesn’t miss the little annoying details about my quirky cat. She takes pride in doing things properly. 10/10.
