My partner and I both currently work as high school teachers out of the house. During the school year, I am away from 8am-2pm, and during the summers I am quite available and often home. I have lots of time for extensive daily exercise for dogs and love taking dogs for an hour of walks and hikes per day, or playing with cats/dogs for as long as is needed for mental stimulation and training.

We don’t have any pets or kids, so your pet would be the focus of our attention! We keep regular routines for food, exercise, and play, and communicate frequently with pet owners of the pets we care for.

A typical day
Dogs we board in our home will get a morning walk before work and some playtime before settling in for the day, and then a long walk or hike in the hills before sundown. Dogs and cats alike will get plenty of love and cuddles and training before the end of the day!

Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a huge animal lover, and grew up taking care of my family’s Golden Retrievers and walking neighbors’ dogs several times a week. Now, I have 8 years of adult experience as a part-time dog walker and pet-sitter, and have boarded dogs in my apartment as well as watched dogs and cats at other folks’ homes. I work a day job out of the house as a high school teacher, and am a deeply responsible, routine-oriented, and communicative person. During the academic year, I am out of the house from 8am-2pm, and during the summers I am free and home very often. My partner August and I have no pets of our own and would love to pet-sit for you! My partner also has extensive experience with cats, and we’d love to care for your cat. ❤️

Sarah was an excellent dog sitter during a challenging time for our pup. We had a trip planned on the 4th of July when Nadia is extra anxious about fireworks. Before the stay, Sarah was very attentive about her needs and made sure to understand Nadia’s anxieties. During the stay, she was very communicative about how Nadia was doing with the fireworks and the methods we had discussed before that she tried. She also made Nadia a blanket fort and took her out extra early the next morning. We know that Nadia appreciated her time with Sarah despite the difficult time as she has returned happily and stayed another weekend. We would highly recommend Sarah for dog sitting.
