Your cats new bestie
Hi, I'm Sarah and I've had cats my whole life, ever since I was born, 11 of them to be exact, hence the 48 years experience! I live in Brockholes with my partner, Matthew, and we share a blended fur family, 13yo Bengal/Turkish Van, Mickey, who we call MP, Mickle Pickle or kitten, and a 6yo Australian Shepherd called Brego (my partner is a huge LOTR fan) who we mostly call pup. I'm the massive cat lover of the family, and love spending time with cats, so cat sitting is the perfect hobby. I am familiar with all kinds of cat personalities, from timid and skittish to grumpy and unruly. My guy was absolutely wild when he was younger, quite the bitey boy, with a very boisterous streak in him, so I can definitely handle the challenge of a big grump! I will always let a cat weigh me up and suss me out until they are comfortable with me and will never force interactions with them if they're not happy to. I have a clean DBS check and being the daughter of a retired CID police detective, I have had home security and safety drummed into me since I can remember, so rest assured your home will be in safe hands and I will treat it with as much care and respect as I will your fur babies. Please note, I typically start morning visits from 8/9am and do evening visits up to around 8/9pm.

Please be assured your cats will get all the attention they are comfortable with. I will never force my affection on shy or timid cats and will allow them to take the lead should they want to interact with me. My cat can be a bit of a terror at the drop of a hat, so I can deal with grumpy and feisty cats too! I have many scars to prove it! But even if your cat does choose to keep themselves at a distance and enjoys their alone time, it's nice to know they have someone there for a bit of fuss before you get home. I'm more than happy to send photos / videos to put your mind at rest that they are being well cared for. My boy is an indoor cat, so I'm very vigilant when it comes to making sure there are no escape routes and that they remain inside safe and sound.

Schedule
I work from home part time, so I'm available on weekdays and can easily fit it around my current schedule. My pets get to enjoy a lot of time with myself, so it would be nice to share some of that time with other cats that may be a little lonely in the day. I'm relatively new to Holmfirth, so it will also be a great opportunity for me to get to know the area a little better and maybe make some friends along the way.
