Hi! I’m a full-time professional pet sitter based in the Ferndale/Royal Oak/Hazel Park area. I’ve been caring for pets professionally since 2017 and transitioned to full-time pet care in 2023. I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, and moved to Detroit in 2013 to attend the College for Creative Studies, where I earned my BFA in studio art.

Sarah was so great with our dogs, especially our younger dog that is often skittish with strangers!
Sarah took such good care of Teddy & Sparky! She was attentive to them, as they sometimes have a bit of separation anxiety and really like human contact at home. All the instructions I left were followed to a T. And, I received several updates and photos each day. I so appreciated the care Sarah provided my pups. I will gladly book her for another house sit/dog care.
Sarah did an amazing job with our kitties! She sent us thorough updates, was amazing at picking up on their little quirks and personalities, and gave them lots of play time which we know they love! We felt totally comfortable knowing they were in good care while we were gone ❤️

I care deeply for animals and work to understand their nonverbal ways of communicating. I’m attuned to the emotional and physical needs of others. I believe pets experience forms of loneliness, confusion, or boredom when their person is away, and I aim to acknowledge and respond to that in a grounded, reassuring way.
