I’ve loved animals all my life and decided to become vegan when I was 12 years old. I grew up in South Florida as an only child, so my dogs and cats acted in lieu of siblings. I have a natural ability to bond with animals and love to meet new furry friends. I started volunteering at the local animal shelter, Furry Friends Adoption Clinic during high school. I loved walking dogs and helping to keep their area clean. The sense of accomplishment from helping animals in need propelled me to continue volunteering when I moved to Colorado for college. I cared for the cats at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. Outside of volunteering for the shelter, many of my friends with dogs would ask me first if their pooch needed some extra attention or a walk. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and personalities. I am comfortable administering medication orally, trimming nails/claws and love to brush fur.
