I grew up surrounded by pets, caring for up to 4 dogs and 4 cats at once (among other hobby farm animals!). Now, I am a working professional from my home in downtown Truro, under the watchful gaze of Eisenmeower, a Siberian cat I adopted in April 2024 from the SPCA. I am available to provide care visits and walks to pets within 30 mins walking distance of NSCC Truro, and so look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! You'll have peace of mind that your pet is being well taken care of, and your home respected: reliability, clear communication, trust, and genuine care are values I bring to my services. As a pet owner and home owner myself, I know how hard it can be to trust a stranger to provide a high quality level of service. I promise to always provide the same care and respect I would expect for my own- please see my reviews and rest assured your pet will be in good, capable hands. When walking, I pay close attention to your dog's cues to ensure they're enjoying their walk, and have the ability to sniff about and move at their preferred pace while maintaining their safety and comfort on pathways and around others. When providing home visits, I am very attentive to ensure all feeding / cleaning / socializing instructions are followed properly, and your pet is doing well in their time apart from you. In my experience on Rover, this has also been an exercise in problem-solving, such as when I had to receive and assemble a new auto-feeder for one cat while their owner was abroad, or searching high and low for a cat who had been accidentally let outside by contractors earlier in the day (successfully found after an hour's effort!). I can also take on minor additional tasks such as watering plants, or bringing in the mail if you're away for an extended time. I'm looking forward to meeting you and your four-legged best friend! Please be aware that I am generally available with some flexibility due to my work-from-home schedule (and thereby my calendar may not have been updated in awhile, but please do reach out!) and the <100% response rate is solely due to receiving some requests from Ontario in error... if you're local to Truro I will respond!
