Pet care experience
Bring me your city dogs!
I specialize in caring for dogs that are accustomed to the apartment life and love to take leashed walks around beautiful Cap Hill. Many of my clients walk over instead of driving because they live so close. I work from home full-time and have an extra crate to keep dogs safe when I need to leave the house for a few hours. My apartment is small, so dogs are always allowed on the furniture and we make frequent trips to local parks. Because of my limited space, I am a better fit for dogs about 60 pounds and under. Other things to know: I have extensive experience caring for brachycephalic breeds like bulldogs and pugs, so you can rest assured that your squishy-faced friend will be safe and happy with me. I also have experience caring for senior pets, including dogs with arthritis, and reactive dogs.

Sarah was responsive and communicative. My puppy was cared for well, calm when I came to pick him up. Would hope she could care for him again!

Sarah was great! Super communicative and flexible. Chicot had a great time. We’ll definitely be using her for boarding again. Thanks Sarah!

Sarah took fantastic care of my dog, Wally! She was super responsive and sent me daily updates of Wally having a blast playing with her pup, Spruce. I would definitely leave wally with Sarah again.

Sarah was willing to extend her booking when my flight got changed last minute. I really appreciate her commitment to my pet’s wellbeing.

Sarah took great care of Betty while I was away. Loved all the pics and updates.

I’m usually not away from my pet for long stretches, so this was one of my first extended trips. Thanks to Sarah’s care, I felt completely at ease the entire time. She was attentive, reliable, and clearly cared about my pet’s well-being. Thank you, Sarah!

Schedule
My day job is fully remote, which means I’m home all day. Typically I walk dogs before 8 a.m. and again at 6 p.m., with a potty break during sometime during the day and another right before bed.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a small crate for my own dog and an extra crate that can accommodate medium dogs, such as an Australian shepherd, pit bull, bulldog, and some smaller labs and doodles. For dogs over ~60 pounds, it may be best to bring your own crate or discuss other arrangements. Typically, I crate dogs only when I’m leaving the house. At night, dogs usually sleep in my bed or on the floor in my room, but nighttime crating is also an option if that works best for your pup.

A typical day
Cap Hill is full of interesting things to sniff, and I try to take a slightly different route for each walk to keep things interesting. Most days we will visit Governor’s Park to stare down some squirrels, and I also enjoy taking dogs to local dog parks for off-leash fun. My house is stocked with a variety of fun dog toys, including treat puzzles, lick mats, and Nylabones.
