Caring and attuned dog sitter
I love all animals, but have a particularly fond spot for dogs. I grew up caring for and training my own Carolina dog from a puppy. We learned over 30 commands and tricks in his lifetime. I've been sitting and walking friends and neighbors dogs and other pets since I was a teen. I've cared for a wide range of breeds from toy to large "bully" breeds as well as those with special or behavioral needs, such as medical issues and leash aggression. I love getting to know each dog's personality and quirks and it's always a special feeling seeing how excited they are to see a friendly face come to visit them. I learned more positive reinforcement training techniques in an internship with the Oakland Zoo. And just recently been able to pick the brain of a long time professional dog walker for safety and behavioral cues of dogs and have gotten some great resources to continue developing training and work with dogs.

I’ve been told I have a calming personality, animals usually gravitate to me. I am careful to follow all guidelines for your unique pet. I make sure to give them lots of attention and affection as well.

Sarah is a fantastic dog and house sitter! We will 100% book her again. She took care of our two Shiba Inu pups while staying in our home, and she was super communicative the entire time. One of our dogs is an escape artist and a little grumpy, but she had absolutely no problem managing them. I could tell they really liked her, and they were super well taken care of the entire stay. We were very grateful for her expertise and experience.
Sarah is great with my pup Toby. She is kind, loving and Toby really seems to like her. If I need a dog walker in the future, I would not hesitate to ask (:
Sarah was great at taking care of our dogs. She's really dependable. She would take the dog on a walk daily and always made sure to place with them as well

Schedule
I have a lot of open time currently. Much of my other work is online and/or flexible. Dogs and cats are at the forefront currently.
