Life-Long Pet Lover
My love of pets began young, as my family always had at least one (and up to three) dogs growing up. My journey of independent pet ownership began when I was 18, moved out, and immediately acquired a plethora of pets. Currently, I am home to 1 dog (Bees) and 5 cats (Yuna, Jody, Mittens, Zeus, and Hera). I began (unofficial) pet sitting at 14, when I would watch my neighbors pets while they were out of town. Since then I have volunteered with Austin Pets Alive! and Dallas Pets Alive! (both incredible organizations) as a foster parent and to assist with cleaning, walking, and playing with their in-shelter animals. I have experience with dogs, cats, goats, bunnies, cows, fish, and chickens, but am happy to do additional research to learn more about another type of pet if needed! I also have experience with puppies, kittens, and senior dog/cat care including giving medication, administering IV fluids at home, and wound care. I love all sizes, ages, and temperaments of pets and would love to provide some snuggles, playtime, and long walks while you're away!

Safety, trust & environment
For your pets safety, I will follow any guidelines you provide me to ensure they do not become unnecessarily stressed by a change in routine. I can crate your pet (if desired) and always provide active monitoring of all outside time to ensure they don't Houdini their way out of the yard. I also NEVER assume your cat is an outdoor or indoor/outdoor cat unless you EXPLICITLY STATE that I should let them outside. Even for indoor/outdoor cats, I can keep them fully inside while you are away for peace of mind. I also provide daily photo updates so you can see for yourself that your family member is happy and well taken care of!

Sarah is the best pet sitter one could ask for! When I was gone on vacation for 9 days, I had her come over to sit my cat, my two dogs and even my dad’s fish! She follows instructions, is super communicative, and always sent me plenty of pictures and videos of my babies. She has her own dogs, cats and even goats! So she can reliably watch your pets as well :)

Schedule
I currently work full-time in an incredibly flexible job, so I will have plenty of time to hang out with your pet during the work day (M-F) and all day on the weekends! I like to start the mornings and end the (early) evenings with a long walk (I also have cat walking experience!). I can guarantee a potty break a minimum of every 2 hours and a minimum of a combined 2 hours of active time (walks, playing) throughout the day for pets who have a lot of energy!
