My day job includes zooms that start at 9am. So my typical pet sitting day includes: Wake up around 7am to start spoiling them, breakfast, playing, etc.. Hopefully they crawl into my lap or walk across the screen during my zoom so my coworkers will start texting me messages like: “Who is that fluffy baby?” Or “I’m living for you petting that cat right now.” Zoom over: back to playing, treats and phone calls in between. Repeat… Theme of the day: Servant to your pet while I book violin recitals and piano concerto concerts for my clients and direct our sales team. Maybe we take a little nap on the couch at some point? I meditate 2 x day (TM) and often the pets will rest on my lap or right next to me during the meditation. If it’s a weekend then I won’t have zoom meetings or computer work, but I will ski or hike for a few hours. But there will be lots of spoiling and love, treats, playing, etc before and after that! Sometimes I have client concerts on a Sunday matinee or in the evenings.

Safety, trust & environment
For pets in my home, they will be in a large 1-bedroom free-standing guest house, so no shared walls with neighbors (no loud, disturbing sounds except for occasional garage door opening.) I let them sleep with me if they want and drink from any faucet (but not the toilet, because that’s gross?) Same as in your home: I am the servant of the animal.
Information Sarah P. would like to know about your pet
It's important for me to know your pet’s special needs and preferences (favorite toy, location for brushing, food and water preferences, etc..) And please share all safety tips (are they afraid of anything- a neighbor’s pet? Do they sometimes try to eat hair ties? Do they try to be an escape-artist when the back door is opened?)
A typical day
When I walk dogs, I enjoy letting them show me their favorite route near their home. Please tell me in advance what this is so I can anticipate what they are going to show me. :) In my home, I take them on walks on the street that goes up and down my mountain (I live in Brush Creek.) It’s beautiful and doesn’t have many cars or animals.

Pet care experience
HELLO! PLEASE NOTE THAT ROVER FIRST LISTS MY DOG SITTING RATES, BUT PLEASE CLICK "SEE ADDITIONAL RATES" TO VIEW MY CAT SITTING RATES WHICH ARE LOWER. THANK YOU! I have lived with cats my entire life, and I understand them and their needs. I especially love caring for the sensitive and shy ones or elderly cats with special needs as it makes me happy to see them feel comfortable and safe. I know that kitties have a lot of needs like attention, brushing, play-time, infinite love/good safe energy, very fresh water and fresh food. A clean place to potty is important! I am happy to do drop-in visits or overnight stays. My “day job” is remote so I can be there during the day working with your pet as long as there is good Wifi. I also love dogs and am available to care for them as well: small to medium-size only please. I have been pet-sitting since I was in grade school for neighborhood pets and my grandma's friend's pets. I have continued to do it in every city I have lived in as I truly enjoy it (NYC, New Orleans, Houston and now in Aspen.) I joined Rover in 2021 when my kitty Delilah crossed the rainbow bridge at age 18.5. I knew that taking care of and being around animals would help heal my broken heart when I could care for them and give love to them. If I won the lotto (if I bought lotto tickets), then I imagine I might quit my career in classical music management to just take care of cats in need all day, like Beth Stern! I also joined Rover so that I could help other cats in Aspen/Snowmass. When I had Delilah, I often found it challenging to find a good pet-sitter who was sensitive to kitty energy and needs. Delilah was shy (especially around men or people with loud voices), and she would often hide from some of her pet sitters. I worried that she wasn’t comfortable when I was away. So I wanted to be a good sitter option for the cat owners in our area. I like to text a lot of photos and videos of your fur baby so you can see how they are doing. I often make video diaries of your pet where I describe what we did that day (or just narrate the moment) so you have a sense of how your kitty is doing and feeling. I am happy to do meet and greets prior to confirming a booking, as we may both feel more safe and comfortable that way. Thank you, and I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Went above and beyond for the visit with my cat Juno. She communicates great, was flexible, and took such good care of Juno. 10/10 recommend !

Always so comfortable leaving my cats in Sarah’s care!

Sarah was very communicative throughout the stay. She shows great affection and consideration for the pets under her care. You can trust your pet is in good hands, I would highly recommend!
