Safety, trust & environment
I am patient, dependable, and guaranteed to shower your fur-baby with lots of attention and love! I am always happy to go the extra mile to ensure your pet gets the absolute best care possible. I am communicative and responsive, and you can always count on photos and updates from me. I offer a meet & greet prior to bookings to ensure it's a good fit for everyone. I am fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19; however I am more than happy to wear a mask if that is your preference.
Information Sarah P. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to hear about your pet's temperament and preferences as well as their daily routine/schedule. Detailed written instructions are always appreciated (particularly for housesitting)! :) I'd also like to be aware of any known fears or triggers which could cause unnecessary stress on your pet if not properly managed and/or could pose a potential safety issue. If there is anything I can do to make your pet feel more at ease, please let me know!
A typical day
This will vary depending on your pet's preferences, activity level, and comfort level. If your kitty is comfortable, we can play and I can give some pets. If not, I will try to slowly build trust until they feel more at ease. If your pup is more of a couch potato, we can relax for a bit and I will dispense some tummy rubs. If they are more active, we could take a walk or play in the yard - just let me know what they enjoy! :)

Pet care experience
I am a UConn/Fairfield graduate currently pursuing my Sixth-Year in School Psychology. The head of my household is my 5 year old black kitty, Yoda. An animal lover, I've always had cats and dogs growing up and animals have always been an important part of my life. I have experience working with animals in various capacities including volunteering and fostering with local rescues and working on TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) initiatives for feral cat colonies. I've been petsitting via Rover for a little over 2 years but I've sat for family, friends, and neighbors for years. I am a crazy cat lady for sure but love the pups too! I have extensive experience with cats in particular and am adept at picking up on subtle queues and behaviors. I pride myself on my ability to bond and build trust with shy or fearful kitties (but can also recognize when a cat would prefer some space). I have experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, and ages. I also have experience with senior dogs, high-energy pups, and those with separation anxiety and special needs.
