Chickens, Horses & Cows? No Problem! 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover with a soft spot for just about anything with four legs—or feathers! At home, I’m a proud Pittie mom to our 14-year-old senior girl, Astrava (I have an especially big place in my heart for the breed), along with our barn-cat sisters, Trixie and Lulu, and a flock of chickens—yes, every single one has a name! While we don’t currently keep horses on our property, my daughter is an avid English rider, so our family has years of hands-on experience around horses as well. Truthfully, I’d probably have another 15 animals if it weren’t for my husband’s very firm “rescue and REHOME” policy. 😄 I’m currently a stay-at-home mom and caretaker of our 15-acre property and all the animals that call it home. My youngest started school this fall, which has given me some newly opened weekday availability—and what better way to spend it than loving on a few more furry (or feathered!) friends? I’m comfortable caring for traditional household pets as well as farm animals, and I understand that every animal has its own personality, routine, and needs. I have an especially soft spot for senior pets. At 14, our Pittie requires extra patience, attention, and care, so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust with an older pet. I’m also happy to help with transportation to veterinary or grooming appointments when arranged in advance. Whether you need someone to check on the chickens, care for your farm animals, spend time with a senior pup, or simply give your pets plenty of attention while you’re away, I’d love the opportunity to help.
