I honestly enjoy dogs and cats more than most people, sorry not sorry 😆. There’s just something about the trusting love of an animal that brings joy to life/my world. I’ve been a dog owner for over 15 years, first to my sweet Charlie - no longer with us; and now to our foster fail Maya. Charlie was a border collie who never ran out of energy. Like, ever 😆. Maya is a more settled gal, but she still loves a good walk/hike as long as a nap comes afterwards. I’ve also been a cat mom, and cat foster mom for over 20 years. Our Sophie & Evie keep us on our toes requesting frequent snuggles, play time, treats, and nap time in our laps 💜🐾 If it’s not already evident, I firmly believe: pets are family, and pets have rights to autonomy/boundaries with people and other animals. I fully expect pet owners to have the same standards of care for selecting someone to help with their pet as I believe they’d use to choose a babysitter for their human kiddos. I happily respect and help maintain people’s rules for their pets (but all y’all that say they can’t get on the couch need an intervention 🙃😉 I’m just saying). Let’s chat about how to help your pets live their best lives when you can’t be with them - whether that’s walks, stop in visits, boarding in my home or other care needs.

I’ll admit that I am very picky when it comes to both who I allow into my home and who I trust to care for my pets. I highly recommend Sarah. I struggled to find someone I felt completely comfortable having in my home when I wasn’t there, and, just as importantly, someone my dog was comfortable with. My dog has separation anxiety and does not take well to new people, but she has done wonderfully with Sarah. Sarah is incredibly kind and friendly, and she is one of those people you can tell is genuinely a good person from the moment you meet her. I wholeheartedly trust her with my dog. Before my beloved kitty passed away, Sarah also had a key to my home and would come by while I was traveling for work to give her medications, including oral medications and eye drops. She was always dependable and prompt, and I never once had to worry about my pets or my home while they were in her care. Finding Sarah has been such a relief. She genuinely cares about animals, and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog or cat sitter. She has truly taken so much of the worry out of leaving my pets when I travel.

Schedule
I work from home and have a fair amount of flexibility in my schedule. I’m able to do drop in visits to feed, administer meds, let dogs out, attend to cat boxes etc. and during my visits I will also provide a bit of attention and interaction for your pets if they desire it - I’m not just a run in and run back out sitter ☺️

Safety, trust & environment
I provide in home boarding and doggy day care at my home, where they have access to our fully fenced backyard for potty visits and playtime (weather safety dependent). I will probably only offer cat care visits to your home, as I have our 2 girls here full time as well as often having a foster kitten/cat or 2. I will be happy to cater a care plan that best suits your requirements and your cat’s needs.
Pets
A typical day
I match to a pet’s needs. If your cat enjoys interacting I will happily play with them and give pets in the ways they enjoy (ear scritches, belly rubs etc.) per you sharing their preferences. If your pup enjoys play time, we have a great fenced in yard for running and playing fetch/frisbee toss, sunning in the grass, or squirrel chasing if that’s their thing 😆. I also welcome moderate/appropriate play with your pup indoors - just no crashing about into furniture. That said, if your pup is more mellow and just prefers snuggles on the couch, that’s perfectly OK too.
