I’ve been caring for animals for over 10 years and have experience with both dogs and cats of all different ages, personalities, and needs. I’ve cared for seniors, special-needs pets, anxious animals, and pets who need oral medications or a little extra patience. I’m big on following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible — meals, walks, medications, playtime, bedtime, and all the little things they’re used to at home. Some pets want to be attached to your hip, while others need time and space to warm up, and I’m happy to let them set the pace. I have two cats of my own and have had cats throughout my life, so I’m very comfortable with cat care as well as dogs. I’m used to everything from easygoing pets to the stubborn, mischievous, and “will absolutely eat that if you turn around for two seconds” variety. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable while you’re away. I’ll pay attention to your instructions, keep you updated, and make sure your pet is safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention.

Sarah was great, communicative and professional, flexible, took great care of the pups. I was able to relax during my weekend away, knowing that they’re well taken care of.
Sarah helped us out when we were in a bind, taking our boy for a couple days hours before a last second trip! She sent lots of updates and treated him like one of her own! He usually takes a couple days to wind down after a trip, but this time he came home, played with us for a bit, then settled right down like it was just another day! Thank you again: we’d happily send him your way again!
Sarah was great! She kept us updated throughout Lola’s stay and her optional pick up and drop off services were an incredible bonus. Lola came back happy and healthy.

Schedule
I spend most of my free time at home and have a pretty flexible routine, so I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, playtime and company. We always start the day with a morning walk before I head to work, and I’m usually home by 3pm for the rest of the afternoon and evening. When I’m not home, my husband usually is, so there’s typically someone around to keep an eye on things and give your pet some company. I can sometimes accommodate short-notice requests, and I live right next to two parks in a safe neighborhood with plenty of places to walk.

Safety, trust & environment
My home is kept pretty pet-safe — my two cats are professional troublemakers, so they’ve made sure we don’t leave much out that curious pets can get into. It’s just my husband and me at home, so there aren’t lots of unfamiliar people coming and going. We have a fully fenced backyard, and the house is mostly hardwood and tile, so scratches, muddy paws, and normal pet messes aren’t something I stress about. If your pet needs their own space, they can also have an entire room to themselves for a quiet, comfortable place to relax.

A typical day
We love going on walks, playing outside, and trying out new toys! I’m very routine-focused and make sure meals, medications, walks, and anything else your pet is used to happen on schedule. I like to make sure everyone gets plenty of attention and activity throughout the day, with one last good walk or play session before winding down for the night. I also have pet cameras in any room where pets may be left alone, so I can keep an eye on them even when I’m away. Every pet is different, so I’m happy to adjust our day around their normal routine, energy level, and favorite activities.

- I do have two small cats in the home, but they have their own separate space and can be kept apart from visiting pets when needed. Please let me know how your pet typically does around cats so I can plan the safest and most comfortable setup for everyone. Potty-training concerns are totally okay — just let me know ahead of time so I know what to expect and can prepare accordingly. We also live around lots of trees, plants, pollen, and sap. If your pet has environmental allergies, sensitive skin, or long fur that tends to pick things up outside, please let me know so I can keep an extra eye on them.
