Compassionate Care You Can Trust!

Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm a lifelong animal lover, experienced pet caregiver, and former NYC dog walker who has always believed animals deserve to be treated as family and given patience, love, respect, dignity, and plenty of attention. With my 20 years of experience caring for pets, along with my professional background in pharmacy and home healthcare, I bring a unique combination of compassion, empathy, attentiveness, responsibility, and hands-on caregiving experience to every pet I care for. I understand every pet is different, and I take the time to learn their individual personality, routines, comfort levels, and needs so they can feel safe, happy, and cared for while you're away. My goal is simple: to give your pets the same thoughtful, dependable care I would want for my own, while giving you the peace of mind of knowing they're in good hands.

Safety, trust & environment

While you're away, you should have peace of mind that your pet and property are in responsible hands. The approach I take to caring for your pet and home is the same standard I would expect of someone caring for my own. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my first priority, and I will treat your home with the same level of care and respect. I understand that inviting someone into your home while you're away requires a great deal of trust, and I take this very seriously. I respect the privacy and property of my clients, staying in areas that are necessary for caring for your pets, and leaving your home clean and everything as I found it. I do not snoop, invite others into your home, or treat your space as anything other than someone else's home that I have been entrusted to care for.

Sarah immediately connected with our pets (2 dogs + 2 cats)! We felt comfortable leaving them with her while we were away. The house looked great & animals were happy when we returned! Just what we needed. Will request her again in the future.

Sarah was absolutely wonderful! We needed drop-in visits on four different days, and Sarah eased our anxiety by being organized, respectful, prompt and caring! Each day she left detailed messages and pictures of her time with our Beau. We would definitely love to have Sarah take care of Beau again!

Sarah is not only an excellent pet sitter but also a kind and genuine person who is always respectful. Sarah does everything that is asked of her and goes above and beyond for her clients and their pets. Our cat would have been miserable if it wasn't for Sarah taking the extra time to play with him and making sure he is loved. Sarah kept on top of the hurricane for us and was constantly communicating with us regarding any issues. Thank you Sarah!

Sarah was great with my kitty! She stopped by to meet her before my travels and to find out details about her care. While I was away, Sarah stopped by on schedule and gave me reports on BNG’s activities, including pics as well. She also went the extra mile and did me the favor of looking around the exterior of my home for a package that was delivered during construction of a new front walkway. Sarah really cares about the pets she takes care of, as well as their humans! I highly recommend her and will request her services again as needed.

I am a full time pet care provider, which means I am able to dedicate my time and attention fully to caring for your pet as you would. Whether your pet is active and always ready for play time and exercise, elderly and in need of a quiet, slower routine, very shy and cautious with new people, or requires extra medical attention, I take the time to really learn who they are and what their needs are.

I am comfortable caring for cats and dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments (I'm okay with spicy ones!). If you have other types of pets, I have a range of experience with horses, chickens, rabbits, and other small animals too! To provide the best care possible, I ask that you let me know about any behavioral, medical, or other special needs your pet has before they are in my care. This is not to judge, but simply to understand your pet so I can care for them appropriately, keep everyone safe, and note anything that is outside of their ordinary behavior. Please let me know about: -Behavioral considerations: food/toy guarding, fear or anxiety, sensitivities to sound or movement, jumping/leash pulling, escape or door rushing tendencies, prey drive, tendency to eat non-edible objects (toys, rocks, sticks, plants, etc.), or aggression toward strangers (people or animals). -House habits: urinating/defecating outside of designated areas in the home, "marking territory", inappropriate chewing or scratching, excessive barking/meowing, etc. -Medical conditions: any diagnosed or ongoing health conditions, recent injuries or procedures, mobility limitations (i.e. no running, jumping, etc.), allergies, dietary restrictions, or other health concerns. -Medications/Treatments: all medications or treatments your pet receives, including oral/auricular/ophthalmic medications, inhalers, injections, subcutaneous fluids, topical medications, supplements, or anything else that needs to be administered. Please include dosages, schedule, and any special instructions. -Emergency information: your veterinarian's contact information, preferred emergency hospital, any family or friend I can contact if I cannot reach you, and any specific instructions you would like me to follow in case your pet becomes sick or injured while in my care.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
