Pet care experience
Animals are AMAZING!!! 💖💚💛
Since I am a true animal person, you can be assured that your dog (or playful cat!) will get lots of play time and attention ☺️ The only disclaimer which is new as of 2024 is: *If you need housesitting, **I no longer am accepting jobs which require me to be at the clients home most of the day** I can stay overnight and a few hours in the morning and evenings though :) Here’s my bio: Growing up, my family always had at least one dog at a time. My brother and I were always the main ones taking care of our dogs and I especially enjoyed that. Our mom taught us a lot about dogs and how to treat them and teach them tricks and obedience for great healthy human-dog and dog-dog relationships. My family dogs over the years were truly my best friends, and for a long time, I missed having one of my own. As an adult, I wasn’t in the right position to own one for years, until one day in 2018, my daughter’s boyfriend wasn’t able to keep his dog and asked if we could adopt him. My kids and I were very happy to help and fell in love with our wiggly Pit Bull Jax pretty quickly :) He has been a huge part of our family ever since!

Safety, trust & environment
I’m a firm believer in making sure pets in my care have their needs attended to as closely as possible according to their owners routine. For example, if your dog isn't allowed to sit on furniture at home, I will enforce that rule even though I don’t have the same rule with my dog. I let my own dog sleep on my bed and if your dog likes that, I am happy to let them up on the bed if I am staying overnight at your home. If they aren’t allowed to eat food other than dog food, I won’t let them have a bite off my plate. I do let my own dog have certain foods off my plate as long as it doesn’t contain things that could be bad for dogs such as onions, avocado, chocolate, or lots of seasonings. I always want to make sure dogs in my care feel loved and their needs for fun, attention, and exercise are being met. I should mention their need for rest is important as well, because sometimes they do need a nap, especially after a good run!
Ratings and reviews
Absolutely amazing!!!

I was anxious about leaving my dogs at home and having a stranger dog sit. Our Misha is Leary and not friendly with people she doesn’t know. Sarah won her over quickly and put my mind at ease. She sent lots of pictures and that helped me tremendously. Sarah and Elizabeth are the best. I highly recommend them and will definitely hire them again. Thanks so much girls. 💞
Was awesome!
Sarah provided great care for our two dogs! Frequent photos and communication. Our house was clean, she even washed the dog bowls! What a gift it was to have Sarah take care of our dogs, one who needed medications. Will book again, 110% positive experience!

Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 star) Service: Drop-in visits for two cats (1–2x daily for one week) I booked Sarah for a week of drop-in visits for my two cats, who are typically very easy to care for. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing and left me concerned for their safety. I usually don’t write poor reviews, but this was unsettling and I chose her based on the gleaming reviews. I don’t know what the disconnect here was. From the start, communication and reliability were issues. Sarah arrived late to both our meet-and-greet and her first visit. While I can be quite flexible, this could be problematic for anyone who needs punctual feeding times. I provided a detailed, clearly organized checklist of care instructions through Rover the morning of my flight — including the door code, litter box cleaning, water changes, feeding details, and a reminder to keep all windows closed. Despite this, she messaged me saying there was “no code,” even though it was clearly listed. During her first visit, she stayed less than 10 minutes and messaged that the cats weren’t coming out, asking if she should just leave. I reminded her to stay the full 30 minutes and suggested she talk softly or even chat on the phone to help them feel safe. She mentioned she’d call her dad and use the bathroom before leaving — which became significant later. Over the next couple of visits, communication was minimal. I received only two photo of one cat on the same visit. She finally informed me (on Friday) that my male cat had been locked in the bathroom. This would have been from Tuesday Night until Friday Morning that she hadnt seen him. He had soiled the bathroom and clearly had no food or water for days. Regardless of how it happened, a sitter should confirm that both pets are accounted for at every visit. This lapse was extremely distressing and could have seriously harmed my cat, who is already anxious by nature. I contacted Rover to cancel the remaining visits (their support was not particularly helpful) and arranged for a friend to take over. When I notified Sarah, she offered no apology and instead mentioned that my friend should “close the bathroom window” because she had opened it “t let out the potty smell.” My written instructions specifically said not to open any windows, as my cats can escape. When I returned home, the litter box was full, the water bowls hadn’t been refreshed, the bathroom was soiled with urine on the walls and hamper, and my male cat was traumatized — hiding and hissing for days afterward. Overall, this was an unacceptable level of care. I strongly recommend future clients ensure that sitters are dependable, communicative, and attentive — especially when pets are shy or anxious.

Sarah helped me in a pinch with pop in visits for my two kitties! Sent me pictures while I was away and thorough updates. Will be booking with her again :)

Schedule
I have four older kids, but only one is still living at home now, so as a single mom, my main job is making sure he is getting enough time with me, so sometimes I ask if he can occasionally stay with me for longer housesitting stays (and he’s a good kid 😉) but other than that, he is old enough to be home without me. I usually do need to come home in the middle of the day each day to make sure he gets that time with me, and also to give my own dog attention, but I am normally free to hang out with your Pets all morning and evening, and sometimes for a middle of the day potty break if needed. Of course those details can be discussed more during the meet and greet 🙂 My schedule can work around your pets in whatever way the owner you need, to the best of my ability, depending on their needs, age, preferences, and personality.
