Hi! I'm Sarah, and caring for animals has always been one of my favorite parts of life. I truly believe pets are family members with unique personalities, emotions, quirks, and needs. I love getting to know what makes each one special. My own dog, Scarlet, is a 6-year-old Shih Tzu-Poodle mix with the cutest snaggle tooth you've ever seen. She's named after the Grateful Dead and has taught me so much about patience, communication, and unconditional love. Growing up with Scarlet and caring for many dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments has made me comfortable around all kinds of pets. I'm an active person who loves walks, hikes, workouts, outdoor adventures, playtime, and enrichment activities—but I'm equally happy spending time cuddling on the couch with a dog who prefers a slower pace. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, loved, comfortable, and understood while you're away. I am someone who understands how hard it may be trusting a stranger to take care of your best friends while you're away. However, you can rest assured that with me, your pets will be treated as they are my own. When you entrust your pets to me, you can expect open communication during my time with your friends, receiving updates, photos, and videos to share with you how they are doing and all of the fun activities we’ll be up to! I am committed to maintaining normal routines and ensuring all needs are met. Your best friend is my best friend, and whether it’s feeding, exercise, or cuddle time, I am dedicated to providing the utmost of care, striving to leave your friends comfortable and fulfilled after every experience. Although I have no formal training in animal care, both my personal experiences and my background in Child Development as a Certified Child Life Specialist, has allowed me to collaborate with therapy dogs and children. This has helped me develop strong skills in reading behavior, building trust, staying patient, and creating safe, positive environments. Whether your dog is energetic and playful, shy and cautious, a senior who needs extra attention, or a puppy still learning the ropes, I adapt my care to their individual needs. Outside of my job and experiences with dogs and animals, I am someone who loves nature, my favorite animal (besides dogs) is a sloth, enjoy relaxing while painting, and attending EDM concerts (house music and dubstep is welcomed).
